Anyone used the very modern looking colours for painting sheds and fences , which colours are your favourites,

Cuprinol Shades have a wide range of colours.

Urban slate (dark grey) is very trendy in gardens at the moment.

merlotgran yes that’s what I was told too, I went for a light grey, called ‘ dove slate grey’ from Dulux, I found a image of the same colour online.
It makes the dark end of my garden look lighter and really pops against the fuscia and orange flowers I pot in bright blue planters later in the year.

We have painted our sheds, gates and fences Matt black. A wonderful backdrop for the bushes and flowers.

We went for Little Greene’s Ho Ho Green for my husband’s outside office. It’s lovely paint to use.

I used Cuprinol 'Forget me not' on one of my sheds. It looks more like a pretty beach hut now. Shelmiss, I might just call it an 'outside office' too!

I think the colour is called Willow!

lemongrove Sat 08-Feb-20 09:48:19

We have used (in the recent past) a Cuprinol ‘Shades’ called willow, a pale green, lovely but have found that pale colours bring the shed/fence/summer house to your attention, rather than being background and unobtrusive. If you don’t want to
‘See’ your fences, paint them medium or dark oak, but if you want a bench/ shed/ whatever to be a feature, then use a brighter paler colour.

Sorry Happygirl I didn’t see your post before I wrote mine.

Hi Lemongrove
No worries
I think your point is very valid. By painting the fence etc it has made it stand out which is great as I am on a long street of identical properties
Its now easier to spot my turn in spot when driving home!

My fencing is brown and my shed is green- I cannot remember which type of paint I bought.

My neighbours 2 doors away have chosen a lovely grey for fencing as well as their large shed- it looks very smart.

My shed and bench are Sadolin Superdec Opaque in Jungle Green. I like them a lot.

I mixed some white ash and black together to get a lovely light grey to paint my very large summer house style shed with about 10 years ago and it still looks great. I couldn't find the colour I wanted so created my own.

tanith Sat 08-Feb-20 13:48:26

A better picture it’s called seagrass I love the colour.

lemongrove Sat 08-Feb-20 13:52:29

You have a lovely GS Tanith, but I see that he has cleaned of the Nan, from the window. ?

My son painted his new solid wooden fence in an orangey yellow because he said it gave a sunny cheery feeling. It does but I do not like it.

Ellianne Sat 08-Feb-20 14:09:22

Great inspiration here. I think I'll give blue a go for my fence. At least it won't matter outside if I splosh bits of paint on the ground !

tanith Sat 08-Feb-20 15:06:32

Auntiflo two of my GSs brothers, did all the work there was much hilarity and bacon/sausage rolls that day. They are lovely boys.
