Needing help again folks! smile this weed? is growing at an alarming rate across my lawn and even coming up through the shingle. I sprayed it with a lawn spot weedkiller but it's still spreading. How can I get rid of it?

We suffer with the same so interested to know what it is, I think it actually flowered last year, might have been pink flowers.

According to my Plant Identifying App.

Saponaria Officinalis - Soapwort - Wild Sweet William

We've got Saponaria all over the place as well. I don't mind leaving bits of it as it has a pretty flower.

I believe you can use the leaves to make a sort of soap and it has antibacterial properties!
Old remedy.

I use Rosemary stems rolling them in my hands as that plant has antiviral/bacterial properties.

Thyme too with its oil. Surprising how many plants guard against infection, either eaten or used as a salve.

Thank you all so much, I had a horrible suspicion that it might be Ground Elder. smile Don't really want it everywhere though!

Definitely not ground elder! Though there’s a bit of bind weed in your picture!
