Thankyou everyone, I was able to Google salvia scaria and that's what it is . I'm going to move it to a different spot.

They are lovely plants. Oil is extracted from it too but not sure how it's used or what for.

Yes clary sage. We have it in the physic garden at our community garden. It's a medicinal herb and a pretty plant.

I think it's clary sage (salvia sclarea) and yes it grows fairly big with mauve flowers

Ive got one very similar I’m waiting to see what it does, possibly originated from bird seed.

I have something similar and it grows tall with mauve flowers.
I can’t remember what it was called though.

I acquired a few plants that were being sold at someone's gate with a honesty box. This one didn't turn out quite as expected. Any ideas what it is please?
