merlotgran thank you for mentioning this programme. I'm not sure how I missed this, perhaps because I do not watch early evening television but even so I should have seen it listed in the Radio Times. We have Netflix but I'm really rather fed up with all the the various fiction available so I intend to binge watch Diarmuid Gavin's series one on iplayer.

I was lucky enough to visit Helen Dillon’s garden years ago , it wasn’t huge , but it was beautiful ! I bought plants from her and we have still have a daisy that we call Helens , it has been divided loads of times .
She was lovely , and I like Diarmuids garden a lot , great programmes !

I've always liked him and his style of garden. I also find him warm and genuine. Like others, I love how his garden is constantly changing.

Next year we will have to bite the bullet and move from a large garden in East Anglia to Hampshire to be near to DD, her family, my brother and sister in law and friends from way back. Everyone has flown south now. We're the only ones left in a county that has been good to us for forty years so it will be a wrench.

We are looking for a bungalow with a not so large and manageable garden so I was delighted to see a quick glimpse of Helen Dillon's new garden. Her 'old' one was magnificent. Ours is now looking like it needs younger bodies to care for it.

They say you're never too old for an adventure. I can honestly say that the delivery lorry will contain more plants than furniture. grin

Show me any garden and I'm there. Watching the rest now on iPlayer.

Loved the way his house evolved and always found his designs amazing. I've started to collect ideas for our new garden so my notebook is ready.

I’ve been watching the whole series, available on IPlayer..
He’s very practical and down to earth. His garden is lovely, just my style. I also live his accent, so soothing.

Did anyone watch his programme on BBC2 this evening at 6.30pm?

OMG his garden is out of this world!!

Nice to see how Helen Dillon's downsized garden in Dublin has evolved since she was last on Gardeners World showing Monty around.

She's 80!! There's still hope. grin
