hanging baskets

Anyone planted up their baskets yet with winter pansies. I bought a couple of trays last week and was hoping to get them done this afternoon or is it a bit early?? The current plants in the baskets are defo past their sell by day!!

I wish I could have my hanging baskets back, our Housing association decided last year that they all had to go. It claimed after Grenfell they were changing their rules and hanging baskets were a fire hazard along with doormats outside our doors, garden furniture (including memorial benches), bird feeders and bird tables!

My trailing geraniums are still going strong, but not quite their former glory. I intend to overwinter them in the greenhouse.
Last winters version has been resting in a cool spot and the little fir and ivy have all survived the summer. I’ll give it some new compost and granular feed before I plant up the pansies.
