Collecting sweet pea seeds

Is it the same for Honesty? Manged with the help of someone on her to get an Honesty plant last year .It was something we always had in the garden when I was wee.Its done very well so I would like to have a few more along a fence .

My DH did some only yesterday, they were brown, crisp and dry.

Do I wait till the pods go brown, or can I harvest the seeds while the pods are still green?
