MaizieD I'm sure I read in the catalogue that it wasn't as vigorous as some. Currently don't have a suitable tree for it, in fact in the process of planning the thinning out of the hedgerow at the bottom of the garden.

I think one of ours may be Montana "Fragrant Spring but I can't say I've ever smelt any sweet fragrance from it.

Can you take it back and say you picked up the wrong plant by mistake?

Get rid, or plant it to climb up a tree, and get the other one. It sounds much nicer..
