"Soak seeds overnight in warm water"

The same instructions are on the packets of Sweet Peas and Morning Glory.

I can start the seeds off in warm water, no problem. But do I have to keep changing the water for more warm water, or do I need to put the bowl into the heated propagator to keep the water at a warm temperature? Or will they be ok just being started off in warm water and left overnight.

Yes, just chuck them in warm water and leave them. I have sometimes just planted them without soaking, and they've been fine, but I am slapdash!

When I remember to do it (it simply speeds up the process) I do initial warmth and then leave it alone.

I’m of the slapdash routine too Loislovestewie, I grow a few flowers, loads of veg, I’ve never soaked seeds even if the instructions tell me to, always been fine.

Thank you smile

I grew Morning Glory last year, but I don't remember soaking the seeds.

I will start them off overnight in some warm water, and then just leave them and hope for the best
