I planted quite a lot of different bulbs last year in pots. These are just opening and I love them.

For the first time, I ordered from a company called Farmer Gracy (5 different bulbs). Everyone so far have been excellent.

Have you any seeds/bulbs/plants that have surpassed themselves?

I was given one of those jokey ‘grow your own bananas’ seed kits. I did, it grew into a 9ft high tree and we gave it away to a local restaurant with a conservatory!

It’s stunning muse. I like to get different narcissus bulbs each year too.
Two favourites this Spring came from J Parkers.
They are double Tahiti, and Sir Winston Churchill.
I’ll try and find photo’s I have taken of them .

Sir Winston Churchill

I’m not sure if this is Tahiti, but if not I can’t remember what it’s name is but it is a pretty one.
Perhaps you know muse ?

That’s lovely Muse.
This is Streptocarpus Denim which has been on my kitchen windowsill for at least 10 years.
It’s rarely been out of flower, has had several cuttings successfully taken from it, and has even survived being ‘looked after’ by DD ??

Tahiti, I think, is the one behind the main bloom with yellow petals and a bright orange centre.

This one is still flowering even though most of the other Narcissus are coming to an end.

My neighbour has Narcissus Cheerfulness and Yellow Cheerfulness. The multi-headed stems are long lasting and appear a bit later than the usual daffodils. I plan to grow some for next spring.

Beautiful all, but I have to admit my heart belongs to the good old King Alfred daffodil, memories of school days!

I do love the Yellow Cheerfulness Shysal. That's for next year.
They're lovely Puzzler61

I bought some Cornish Chuckles (daffodils) a few years ago. Mainly because of the name and I now live in Cornwall.

Cheerfulness are my sister’s favourite shysal . I could try growing some for her. They smell divine don’t they?

The streptocarpus Denim is very pretty janeainsworth.
The petals looks dainty but if it has survived so long it must be flora with a strong survival instinct. ?

Here’s an image of a King Alfred daff, just for you B9exchange (from t’internet).

We also ordered from Farmer Gracy, planted eighty daffodils by my stepdaughters drive for her 50th, despite her soil being heavy clay they were wonderful. I got a lot of tulips from them which have been brilliant, just going over now, highly recommend this firm.
