Am I the only one who feeds my lawn. All around me the front lawns are cut regularly. The lawns look brownish afterwards, though very neat. My lawn looks dark green after cutting. I pay someone to feed it and cut it. Does anyone else have lush green lawns...

I used to clarify ours and it always looked bare afterwards. There were always piles of moss to pick up afterwards.

We let our neighbour borrow the scarifier on permaloan and I don't particularly want it back.
Doesn't miss absorb CO2? I'm doing my bit for the environment.

We like a nice area of good lawn for the grandchildren to use when they visit. We don't feed it or water it, but cut it regularly to a medium height. When there is no rain, we leave the clippings on the lawn to act as a mulch.
The rest of the grassy area is our 'wild' area which we don't cut after early Spring until August to allow flowers to grow and seed. To keep it looking presentable we cut the edges.
Its a great way to help insect and butterflies etc.

I’d never put that stuff on my lawns! I have hedgehogs, birds, pheasants, foxes etc who all visit my garden to feed,
People who put those minerals & chemicals on their grass are helping to kill these poor creatures.
