Love a pair of secateurs. ?
Extremely upset when my pink handle ones went to garden tool heaven ?
Spring and autumn no bush is safe in our garden
Including my Topiary squirrel

Also love a paint spray can

I have three pairs! Two pairs I really must get rid of because the handles jam on every cut and don't spring back open. They are my favourite gardening tool, in fact I will put a new pair on my birthday list next month.

Yes. I can see my shrubs quivering as I approach and it's never windy. Past experience I guess!

Love my secateurs and have been busy this afternoon cutting shrubs down to fence height - any higher and I can't reach to tidy them up.
DH insists that all trimmings are cut into 2" lengths so they don't take up so much space and will flow from the bag at the tip. Consequently I think very hard before 'going to town' as the tidying up takes ages!

Me! I'm lethal with secateurs. Nothing survives.

Does anyone else totally lose the plot when let loose with a pair of secateurs? I went out this afternoon to prune my rather feeble rose bushes. I was armed with the new swanky secateurs I had got for my birthday. The roses look fine, but , oh my!!! Alongside them are ( were!!) some slightly overgrown firtrees and an ancient but well established rambling rose!! Started off with " I will just cut out the dead bits". Followed by " that bit is a bit untidy". Next " I think more light is needed, I had better trim this bit back". By the time I came in there was a mountain of branches, shoots, debris to be disposed of. " Don't worry, it will all grow back and look great" I told my shocked DH. Gosh, I hope it does !!!???????
