I’ve got that in my garden and it doesn’t look like the photo? 🤔

Calamagrostis x acutiflora 'Karl Foerster' is a Feather Reed Grass!
🙂

Now I’m really getting confused 🙃 and it doesn’t take much.
Here’s a pick of the seed head.

I agree that it's feather reed grass. Look up Calamagrostis x acutiflora. The seeds of popular species such as "Karl Foerster" and "Overdam" are sterile.

Scrubb the above. Callistemon21 has it, yeh 😄well done you 👏👏👏

Shrub
I searched all the Molinia. It’s a caerulea I think 🤔

Feather Reed grass

Shrub
Thanks, I’ll search that, or, as MaizieD says, just collect the seeds ( and hope for success)

Callistemon21 Mon 14-Aug-23 16:11:28

Is it Feather Reed Grass?

It's very difficult to tell from that photo, but maybe a Molinia. It's very upright.

If those seedheads still contain seeds I'd try sowing some, anyway. After all, when you buy seed it isn't usually in its unripened state.

Sorry, can't help further, I've no idea what variety it is.

I want to take some seeds to grow some more.
All the blurb on grasses say to collect the seed heads before they ripen.
Without the name I can’t search for more detail.
