Gardening is so good for strength- building in particular. I did the aerobic stuff first thing, hills and a bike. I came back to a quick drink and full of endorphic energy and then followed the lifting and carrying

Different times, it might be back and forth weeding with a hoe, digging out of heavy substrate. Lifting stones etc.

What a lovely hobby, grounding too and getting linked to mother earth. It does not have to be an `at it` hobby, just pottering and all the time, some of our joints move. Forget the pilates and exercise classes, definitely not needed

I'm attacking the dandelions in my garden .
I'm not enjoying it much as I love gardening !
It's just that there are more dandelions than grass !
Whenever I feel stressed - gardening helps me a great deal - providing it's the right type of gardening !
I've just done a special bed with a statue and that was very enjoyable .

Agree Karmalady, good for body & soul. Just put out my first little clutch of bedding plants - fuchsias, begonias, pellies and million bells. All looking a little shy of each other at the moment!
I'm sure they'll make friends soon sunshine
Happy Gardening All!

Since a small child I have gardened. At this time of year I could be out there at eight in the evening but alas no longer, age has defeated me. Half an hour and I am done, my arthritic fingers defeating me but sitting on the garden seat, looking at the greenery and watching Mrs Blackbird scuffling through the earth I have disturbed is a joy too.

I love gardening, vegetables, fruits.
I especially love planting flowers, I have a lot of them, they bloom so wonderfully.
when I'm in the garden I'm very relaxed mentally, the earth gives me strength

Second to cooking I love gardening every day unless it’s unbearable weather or we have plans. I’m spending most of my time weeding the raised herb and vegetable bed as the weeds are everywhere.

I also have arthritis that’s why I had raised beds built it makes it easier. Keeping busy in the garden gets my mind off the aches and pains and makes me feel a bit better.
