I don't cut mine after October. I think it likes being slightly long through the winter.

The company who look after my lawns , cutting and treatment, came approximately two weeks ago and will be back in March.
He said to ring him if I felt the grass was longer than I liked but didn’t expect I would.

My grass stays uncut after early October because when I had big dogs I needed it to form a mat over the soil so the dogs did not make it into mud over winter with their galloping about.

Years ago, I’m sure I heard Alan Titchmarsh say he’d mowed his grass at Christmas.
DH would have cut ours whenever needed - but not brutally and in decent weather. I have to pay a gardener now, so it’s going to be left until March.

No. After the end of October my mower stays in the shed. My lawns are sodden and spongy at the moment so I don’t think the mower would cope.

I wouldn't cut it while it's wet. Which would probably rule out cutting altogether 😆

I suppose it wouldn't do any harm if you got the chance.

My grass is so long and I normally don’t cut it this late but it really needs it. It’s pretty wet and I’m not sure wether to try and cut it. Would you?
