No allysum

Yesterday my friend and I went round 4 garden centres and couldn't find any allysum plants. There was plenty of lobelia but no allysum.
When we asked, we were told they 'hadn't been received yet'.
Are we too early or is there a shortage of allysum?

I bought two trays yesterday from the 'flower man' who has a stall on the local market place. I don't know if he grows them himself or buys them in, but there certainly doesn't seem to be a shortage here.

Funnily enough we were buying bedding plants yesterday and were in two very good local garden centres, but I don't recall seeing any alyssum in either.

DH has grown his own from seed. We were at the GC today, but didn’t look for alyssum as we didn’t need it.

Am sure there was some though.

Yes very easy to grow from seed, I’ve had very good results this year, might not be too late to sow some. They’ll germinate quickly in this warm weather, as long as they’re watered.
I love their little flowers and put them in a cascading planter so they look like water froth.
The bonus is that they self seed amongst the pavers, very pretty.
