The last couple of years I've bought pansies from Asda and they have been absolutely glorious and much cheaper than a garden centre.

My heart sank when I went to Aldi this week and outside they had shelves of all kinds of plants gasping for a good watering. They were wilted and dying, still being sold full price I hasten to add but why on earth doesn't someone just give them a watering when they put them out in the morning, it's such a shame

I got a lovely camellia from Lidl. Feed it every week & water each evening. It’s growing but hasn’t flowered yet- limited instructions.

Camellias flower in spring, but make their buds during the previous year. They should be potted in ericaceous compost, if in the garden a top dressing of ericaceous compost and feed with ericaceous feed.
At no point should they dry out as the developing buds will fall off. If you’re in a particularly frosty place, cover with fleece in the winter.

We only feed our Camellias once a year Never water them either, except in the Autumn when they are producing buds for next year if there isn't much rain.

Ours are in the garden though, don't know if yours are in pots.

I bought a potted basil from the herb stand in my local supermarket intended for kitchen use. Only used a few sprigs but I’ve kept it watered, taken cuttings because it was getting leggy and I now have more basil than I know what to do with! Basil anyone? Did the same with mint too!

That sounds like a great find—pansies really bring a vibrant touch to pots this time of year! I’ve had similar luck recently while refreshing some outdoor setups and even added a themed touch inspired by legacystickwarapp.com, which oddly sparked some fun conversations with visiting friends. Amazing how little changes like that can brighten things up.

Mt61 I don’t think Camelias need as much feeding , it will flower next Spring . You are right to make sure it doesn’t dry out

I find home bargains and aldi do very reasonable plants go early in the day to get them fresh.
