Gnome people invading garden

This is my first post on this website, so hopefully this works. I am looking for some advice. Little gnome people keep crawling through the holes in my fences and gnawing at my daisies and pumpkins. No one believes me when I tell them, they think it's foxes, but I know those sneaky little buggers all too well, they're definitely up to something and I have to find out what, but no one I know will help me, so I came here in the case that someone has had a similar experience? Please share any solutions if so.

Allira

I've had a complaint.

Apparently this thread is gnomist and is causing a great deal of stress to the gnome community.

Apparently they are enjoying it all! (given both pictures to compere) ..it appears were are empowering them grin...all publicity is good publicity!

I don't think this is a battle you can win GrandmaMaples, just just declare a truce and settle on a Gnoman'sLand.

Don't they come from Zurich? I recall Harold Wilson thought so.

Brilliant, I needed a giggle.

My gnomepeople are disguised as squirrels, they dig up my pots and tease the birdies.

I wouldn’t mind but they just don’t care. I put food out for them, they eat it and then steal all the fruit and strip trees off as well. Greedy ungrateful gnomads.

It's a little gnome fact that, if you're kind and feed them, they take advantage and steal your fruit and vegetables.

Just say Gnomore! in a very stern voice.

Yes been making a real mess of my lawn. Looks like gnomemansland.

It’s the spade carrying ones you have to really watch, as they dig up anything they fancy 😲

Allira Fri 06-Feb-26 14:55:16

But I’ve read that if you keep it up after 2 February you get Goblins. Haven’t seen any yet, though
They come out at night and gobble up your goodies.

Never trust a Gnome
All smiley, smiley to your face but turn your back for a second and your garden is destroyed.

Ungrateful little blighters

Perhaps it’s true that all roads lead to Gnome, and we should go for it..

MayBee70 Fri 06-Feb-26 13:39:22

Think you’ve got problems. I decided to keep my Christmas tree up as can’t be bothered with taking it up to the loft. Thought the grandchildren could decorate it topically eg Easter, Halloween. But I’ve read that if you keep it up after 2 February you get Goblins. Haven’t seen any yet, though… shock

Allira Fri 06-Feb-26 13:29:24

Gnomesnet is a much better option than Gnomore.

Casdon Fri 06-Feb-26 11:22:22

Maybe GN should be renamed Gnomesnet, as we’ve got the first two letters already?

Millie22 Fri 06-Feb-26 08:39:53

Don't you just love GN 😊

nanna8 Fri 06-Feb-26 08:29:44

Might have gnomoney.Could be a strain on the ecognomy.

mum2three Fri 06-Feb-26 05:43:05

It sounds as though they are hungry. Why not put out a little picnic for them?

Grammaretto Fri 06-Feb-26 05:40:11

I wondered where GrandmaMaples gnome home was since she has daisys and pumpkins in her garden.
Snow gnomes here.

GrandmaMaples Fri 06-Feb-26 03:49:34

Blossoming

Do you want to exterminate them or just keep them out GrandmaMaples?

I've tried almost every sort of pest killer I can find and none of it works

Hey all, sorry for the lack of responses, I had a quick afternoon wine wink
