The only summer sound I hear is my neighbour hoovering his Astroturf! 😂

The ice cream man has started his rounds ago so I suppose I will soon be sick of, Just One bloody Cornetto over and over again but never mind. I love summer.

I live on a trailer park (in the U.K.) and I can hear the ice cream van going round the estate behind us in the afternoon. I wish he would come round here occasionally!

I welcome every sign of Summer. At the moment I am sitting on a balcony in Lisbon. Cory traffic and build work all around but , oh that wonderful feeling of sunny warmth on my body. ☀️☀️☀️

I’ve just been outside, a robin singing, next door (deaf) talking to his dog, aeroplane flying over and someone drilling. Suburban life, just nice to be out in the sun.

Live and let live 🥰 You’ll feel a lot happier.

Oh do we have to moan at the «sounds of summer» ?
Yes, mowers, strimmers, barbecues etc can be irritating, but so can scraping ice off the windscreen, slipping on frosty pavements, not seeing the sun for weeks on end, permanent wet clothes and foggy roads.
Birdsong, clear blue skies, blossom on the trees, hedgerows «greening up» - could we not perhaps be a little more positive?
Or is GN being Groansnet again ?

👍👍👏👏👏👏👏

There’s no sounds of summer which don’t delight me, I love the smell of freshly mown lawns and the gardens around are so tiny lawn mowers don’t stay noisy for long, I love a pressure hose and own one.

I am looking forward to some warm sun on my old aching bones! 🌞🌞🌞

I’m glad I live in a top floor apartment two floors up in the town centre and can sit outside in the sun quite peacefully on my little balcony. Well, apart from passing trains across the road 😁

Neighbours with gardens can be thoughtless. BBQ smoke blowing across everywhere on the wind or small bonfires burning rubbish as our ex neighbour used to do when we had a house with a garden.

Mowers, both petrol and electric, strimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf-blowers and - worst of the lot - pressure power washers.

Men (at least the nerd next door) just love 'em!
