From your garden?
I can see my late grand dogs apple tree that I am granny sitting for a while blossoming and remembering how much I loved him.The tree that my daughter planted on the morning of her eighteenth birthday, which earlier looked glorious with its at the moment apricot leaves against the blue sky. My lawn that needs mowing and some dandelion clocks. A pigeon sitting on the fence. And all is peaceful as I sit here on the deck with a well earned gin after trimming up a shrub on my boundary fence. 😃🍹

And some planes going over that I always say “I wonder where they are going ?”

This afternoon I saw gliders swooping round and round on a thermal just silently riding it up and up till they were far far away disappearing as they turned then reappearing shimmering huge white wings in the sun. Several Red Kites joining in and riding the thermals making that whistling call as they flew round. The Wisteria I brought with me from my previous home which has survived the move last year really well, no flowers this year but I’m hopeful for next year. I can hear a neighbours children splashing and laughing in a paddling pool. My grass that also needs a cut and the potted flowering cherry tree bought for Mother’s Day.

I can see the South Downs from my garden. Green rolling hills

When we travel back on the M23 we always know we are home when they come into view.

From my back garden I look into woodland that steeply falls away into the valley behind me. The trees are greening up fast, there are a number of dead ash trees one of which has a great spotted woodpecker nest. I’m hoping they’ll bring the young down to the feeders.
In winter when the trees are bare I can see cars on the main road that’s a mile away, sometimes I hear them too.
From the front I look at the houses opposite, were set well back from each other. My front garden is looking lovely, lots of rose bushes coming into bud, tulips and lily of the valley in flower.
I am very lucky.

I have a free App on my phone, “Air Traffic”, and it tracks aircraft. Give details of origin and destination, height, airline and type of aircraft.
The App is free to download so naturally there are some adverts popping up but at least I no longer “wonder where they’re going”. 👍😁

I feel so lucky after living on a very busy road (but in a much loved house) we moved two years ago - from my house I can see right over to Yorkshire on my left and Derbyshire on my right and straight ahead I look over to Winter Hill.
