We take them out of pots and store until next year. We leave the foliage on until it dies back then store in a cardboard box layered with old newspaper. We do the same with tulips. Last year we didn’t put the tulips in the shed and the squirrels ate them! Not this year, all stored in the garage now. All bulbs in the ground are left there until the foliage dies back and we just trim off and they stay put until next spring.

I haven't done anything with mine yet but keeping them in pots in the shed seems a good idea.

I put them in an old pot behind the greenhouse. The leaves need to Photosynthesise in order to feed the bulb for next year.

Yes a storage box would be a good idea.

We always used to take them to our cottage garden and store them there but as we’re selling up , we don’t have that option any more,.

I never throw them out, I have a bank under an apple tree at the end of my garden, and I plant them in there. After so many years there are a lot now, and they look lovely in the spring.

Monty suggests putting them into old plastic pots. It is what I do. I feed them water them and leave them until they’ve died down, then plant them into the garden in august - usually in the little wood area as they are generally smaller than new ones.

I leave mine in the pots and store them behind the summerhouse until the Spring 🌼.

Buy new pots for summer bedding, but I wouldn't plant them until the middle of May.

If you don't have a shed in which to store the removed bulbs in newspaper for next year's planting, why don't you treat yourself to a storage box for the garden, you can store the bulbs, garden cushions etc., they are very handy.

I’ve taken all our daff bulbs out of the pots to replace with summer plants.
Now what to do with the bulbs. ???Small garden and no storage space.
What do you do with yours?
