Isn't this weird? Just on one plant.
Does anyone know why?

Elless

Hawthorn webber moth?

I agree, especially if it's on cotoneaster

Thank you for your answers

Whatever it is, i wouldn't want to see it.
Oooh errrr! Scary.

Dippynan Sat 09-May-26 12:15:22

Agree.
My son said it would look good at Halloween

MissAdventure Sat 09-May-26 12:26:52

If yiu see whatever has made it, perhaps you can let us know (so we can be more scared!)

Dippynan Sat 09-May-26 12:57:07

Will do, but not sure I want to get too close!

I think it's lovely. Nature is incredible. Yes, it looks like the work of a Hawthorn Webber Moth.

Dippynan Sat 09-May-26 14:20:30

Not sure if I'm supposed to do anything about it, or if it will just disappear

MissAdventure Sat 09-May-26 14:37:28

My advice, as a coward, is steer clear!
Mind you, a moth isn't as bad as a spider in my book.

Dippynan Sat 09-May-26 14:51:25

True!!! 🤣

The moth looks quite harmless to me. Not like the photo of the huge web my sister sent me from Australia and the massive spider that had made it 😲
