I love gardening. For most of my life it has been my main hobby. I choose houses by their gardens, much more important .than an exquisite kitchen.

Now arthritis is limiting what I can do. My son bought me some electric secateurs which are great though heavy so I can only use them for short periods.

Have any of you lovely gardeners any suggestions for helpful tools or methods? I spent hours in the greenhouse today tying the tom plants to canes, fumbling and dropping things, it was very frustrating.
I am very proud of the gauras grown from seed. Really healthy strong plants, I wonder what colour they will be? I use my foot operated bulb planter to plant out, the problem now is finding space to put them

Hi Gin, the only thing that makes a difference for me is 'rationing' the same repetative task/movement.
So, I tend to chop (ha ha) and change chores and might nowadays take 3 or 4 sessions to complete, rather than a whole hour of gripping/hacking.
I do this with most things now and am embracing mayhem grin
