I had I before E except after C drummed into me at school so I have never forgotten it and I do not think that I have ever made that mistake.

I have always had a problem with diarrhoea and so had most of the staff with whom I worked at a day centre when it was often needed when filling in peoples' daily diaries! I suggested it be typed, enlarged and posted on the staff room wall but sadly no one wanted diarrhoea on the staff room wall!

My brother taught me a mnemonic for diarrhoea but I've forgotten it! I can remember the one for Leicestershire but I can spell that!!

I remember when Spellcheck was a new thing to me on my computer and for fun I incorrectly typed 'knickers' to see what would come up. I got knickers, knackers and knockers - need I say more

I hate words that can have different spellings, such as medieval or mediaeval and the way that my spell checker insists that favourite does not contain the letter U even though it's set to UK English.

Don't get me started on apostrophes!!
