WOOT - Here it is, our very own shed ( Thanks GSHQ), real posh one too, no more old doors etc. it may be small on the outside but, inside, WOW, it's a tardis, plenty of room for everyone.
However it's a bit bare atm, contributions to make it homely greatly appreciated. BUT remember it's Granddads' shed, no chintz please.

Hope to see you all from time to time.

The sun here has been spoiled by the chilly wind.

sad

Notsogrand Mon 05-Sept-11 19:59:38

Here too jangly. Several items of neighbour's washing blew off the line and caught up in my climbing rose. Took a bit of untangling in the wind. And the shed door keeps banging!

ooh its nice and warm in here pompa thanks for the open invite. I have brought mulled wine and an extra deck chair

syberia Thu 22-Sept-11 12:16:57

Back in July I told the shed my secret that i am going to be a first time grandma. I would like to announce that I am now allowed to tell the world, so as the shed kept my secret, you must be the first to be told!

glassortwo Thu 22-Sept-11 12:49:50

Now the weather's turning, I think we'll need some more shelves in the shed. There'll be dahlia tubers drying out, bowls of hyacinths being forced for Christmas and the too many jars of pickled shallots need storing. I've got a couple of spare planks....do you have any old brackets pompa?

Annobel Fri 23-Sept-11 09:34:33

I have some somewhere and will look them out, notso.

Annika Fri 23-Sept-11 15:14:06

There will ba space needed for all the onions I have grown, we need somewhere to dry them before I string them up, oh and the garlic where will that go. Shall we cover our garden bench over for the winter, I have a spare bench cover if needed .
I have plenty of paper bags to store all our runner bean seeds if anyone needs them. Its so sad to see the end of summer, but we can busy ourselves with our thoughts turning to Christmas I have my eye on some holly growing not to far from me and at the moment it still has plenty of berrries on it .
By the way I have plenty of marrows here so shall we make some marrow wine?wine

GoldenGran Fri 23-Sept-11 16:12:43

If pompa has no brackets, I have spme I can take from DH, he collects all sorts of things that may come in handy. Never had marrow wine.brew

GoldenGran Fri 23-Sept-11 16:25:17

Or even"some"

Annobel Fri 23-Sept-11 18:33:11

Found some brackets under the bed, so am bringing them along this evening.

Annika Fri 23-Sept-11 19:00:21

Didn't mean to put marrow wine , should have put marrow rum you cut the top off the marrow scoop out the seeds add some brown sugar and yeast and leave hanging in a shed, with a basin under the marrow to catch the liquid that drip out. My dad used to make it but I have to be honest I have never tried it hmm

Bumping this thread back to the top. We have several new Granddads, great to see them, I was getting lonely and we need some support when we get a bashing from feisty GrandMa's grin

pompa Mon 24-Oct-11 08:58:32

Bust down RL shed today. Brace of pheasants to deal with, geraniums to pot up for winter, pots of spring bulbs to plant out. Think I need another cup of tea first. brew

Annobel Mon 24-Oct-11 09:28:21

It sounds as if your wrist must be making a good recovery, pompa. Don't overdo it! hmm

pompa Mon 24-Oct-11 16:32:19

LOL, that should have been "busy" not bust, the shed is still standing.

Annobel Mon 24-Oct-11 17:05:04

Oh good. I thought you'd gone into the demolition business. Mind you, busting down a shed could be very therapeutic in certain circumstances. grin

Bristolboy Mon 24-Oct-11 17:19:15

pompa. If you ever need any male support, I will be hovering in the background. you seem to be fighting a lone hand in here, lol

bagitha Wed 18-Jan-12 17:20:50

pompa, news please! We all hope you're fully recovered from shingles and that all is well with the family. xx

Gally Wed 18-Jan-12 17:45:53

Baggy I was thinking about Pompa just this morning and wondering if all was well; it's been a long time with no news; send us a smoke signal Pomps

GoldenGran Wed 18-Jan-12 17:52:49
