Come on Grandads! I'm trying to restore our Shed to its original purpose, not a haven for shopping worriers! hmm
Transferring stuff from the old Shed might not work. Any helpful suggestions?

So what's going on in here? confused
What's going on is what Grandad 1943 feared would happen again. Grandads kicked out! sad
We're waiting to re-build the Shed when the planks arrive! Meanwhile I need room to pin up a notice (see below) setting out an example of what we're about! hmm
Thank You.
Funding For Men's Shed (Aussie type)
"I was proud to open the newly refurbished room at the
Monash Men's Shed. The Shed plays a fantastic role in
our community and this helps them to continue the great
work they do, strengthening social connections and
community involvement.
Thanks also to The Hon. Luke DonnellanMP, Minister
forDisability, Ageing and Carers who I joined in
announcing $60,000 in funding to the Waverley
Woodworkers. This funding will allow them to move
into their new facility at Central Reserve.

would 'uninhibited manly conversations' be about classic car collecting, old railway timetables, the best way to get to the M1
from Milton Keynes or growing rhubarb?

So are women not all in Granddad's She'd?

Lemongrove Nice to hear from you again; long time no see! Not since your Summer Jamboree in that pretty English meadow a couple of years ago! grin
Sorry if you've felt neglected since you posted, but things have been hectic in the Shed.
If you can bring a pair of size 12 carpet slippers and a FairIsle pullover that would be appreciated! Unfortunately we don't have biscuits, so could you pick up a few packets of Garibaldis on your way, aka "Squashed Fly" biscuits? They leave less crumbs than ordinary ones. grin
We prefer to leave the car discussions to the "macho" ladies, but they won't be allowed in smelluing of engine oil and wall calendars have been replaced by smart phones; we have to keep up!
Been nice talking to you again! blush

Hoping you can keep this alive, Rufus. We women need male opinions to give a balance (imo anyway - others might disagree.)
I've asked GNHQ a few times to change the name of the website to something more inclusive. But I can't think of a good name.
"Grandparentsnet" is too clumsy. Any other ideas?
As we're linked to Mumsnet we need to keep that in mind too.

Ah, the Summer Jamboree....it feels so long ago now.Had it not got a bit cold at night I could have stayed there forever.
I recall you enjoyed sharing our amenities...grin
I shall bring a thermos of coffee laced with Jack Daniels to the shed and a plate of fruit scones....howzat?

Well on MANLY subjects, I have just settled into the shed after cleaning the upstairs toilet and shower room ?. It's a job I love doing as with all the glass, chrome and ceramics up there it looks absolutely lovely when you finish and something I always stand back in admiration of my work when it's done. ??

There is also upstairs a bathroom and toilet, but it is such a lovely day so far here in North Somerset I think I will leave doing that one until tomorrow and instead sit quietly in the garden and shed with some relaxing music on.

Now, I always wonder how many other men clean toilets and bathrooms in their homes and (like me) enjoy doing it ?.

Also what bathroom cleaner do they prefer as I always use "Dettol Power Bathroom Cleaner" but I realise that other products are available, which I realise may cause some heated argument here in the shed.

Let's hope it does not get too heated being we are in a shack environment, as I would not wish to have started a disagreement which ended up with a garden hoe rammed up someone's backside. ?

Grandad; Not me , I'm glad to say! smile
I used to, but it's such a boring, menial task that I soon found more satisfaction in handing it off to cleaners, (don't tell them that though!) and feeling quite virtuous at providing employment! grin
And I wouldn't use a hoe on anybody. A thorough enema with the garden hose would suffice! shock

Lemongrove That's a very kind offer, but without wishing to put you to too much trouble, I would still prefer the Garibaldis! Otherwise, I'd throw a tantrum, except that no-one's. around to notice! grin
Btw; we did meet after the Jamboree! You threw a midnight Ball at your country mansion; I remember someone (who shall remain nameless) falling as she descended that lovely wide staircase.
Then we had to worn the menfolk against relieving themselves on the outside balcony in case there was a Romeo gazing up serenading his Juliet! grin
Oh, happy days! You must organise another one "Coming out of Lockdown Gig" perhaps unless the 2metre separation bit is retained!
Btw 2; Don't forget Grandad is here and might not like scones! hmm
