I know there are a few of us in happy anticipation of a new grandchild this year. My daughter's baby is due in February and she's chosen NOT to know the gender; although names for either have been chosen and I do like them both very much. I am very excited at the prospect of being present at the birth, as I was with daughter's first baby - and happily my lovely son in law is glad to share the experience. Who else is an expectant gran/grandfather?
Are we still waiting for news fom ga's daughter? I do hope she's ok.
I have just had a blissful hour cuddling my new grandson. Checked the other lovely babies on the ward, and it was obvious that he is by far the most adorable.
Congratulations everyone! My son and DIL's first child and our first GC is due in May. They found out very early about the pregnancy, my son described the 1st scan as a bean with a heartbeat. They don't want to know the sex of the baby, but thought they saw testicles on the latest scan! They're keeping the proposed names quiet as my husband pulled his face at some they were thinking about. Nothing to do with us. A name is so personal to the parents and I will love it whatever. Kitty, best wishes to your family.
Ga hope your daughter is ok - she will be glad to have you there. You made me feel better, yesterday, about my daughter's hiccup, hope that a hiccup is all this is.
Still not heard from my daughter after her hospital visit today. So I don't know whether to worry or imagine she's out shopping because all is ok!
Finally logged on in the library!Thank you so much everyone for your good wishes and to ga for passing on the news. Congrats to when and maggie too Thinking of of you Ylilx Wishing the best for your daughter gax
Ylil so sorry to hear this. She may be strong but that could jsut be her hiding her feelings. Give her a big hug. I had lots but eventually acheived the 3 best sons in the world.
Lovely news Maggiemaybe. activist daughter is at the GP surgery right now as she's feeling ill. She's not a complainer so I'm hoping her doctor takes her concerns seriously.............oh dear, phone just rang; daughter is on her way to hospital with what sounds like pre-eclampsia! I'm off to the hospital again..........!
Joining in late as ever... My son's baby was born 6 weeks ago. My gorgeous grandson (our first) came out of hospital on Christmas Eve and spent the evening with us and the rest of the family. And in the course of this my daughter announced that she's expecting in July! We had such a special Christmas and we're all so excited. It'll be great to have the two little cousins growing up together.
Ylil I'm so sorry to bear that sad news. Like others, we've had our share of early miscarriages in my family. I had one at 9 weeks, and thought I would only ever have my one child. Happily, a year later I had my next son, swiftly followed by twin daughters. You never forget the one that was lost, though.
