I need your prayers!!!

I am not happy today

I knew after the joy would come the pain..

But it's been HARD without him

The school said they had trouble getting him on the school bus to go back to the foster carers house and I had a feeling that would happen , they said he was upset and wouldn't get on the bus ( as he knew where it was going , not back to Nannys house )

So I am upset for both myself and him - I feel my own pain and HIS pain and it is just so sad

SS wouldn't have placed him if they weren't confident - it's just such good news

Will SS be visiting to see how happy he is with you, Nannynoo? If not, they must be pretty confident about it already.

So long as you can breathe! How heavy is he?

I pray that it will be and for you both from now on.

And I have a big thinking about the Wendy house.
I was invited into DGD's (not very large) Wendy house - well, it's difficult getting in but even more so getting out again (in my case anyway).

No such thing as the luxury of a lie in anymore! lol

6.30am awake yesterday , 8am this Saturday morning but oh all so worth it for the BLISS of him snuggling into bed with me this morning and he likes to lie on TOP of me and sometimes he presses his head onto my leg as he likes the feeling of the pressure on his head and when he is upset he presses his forehead onto mine

He had a nightmare last night , bless him , so I just said ''Nannys here'' and stroked his head and he went straight back off to sleep again , he used to fall asleep smiling when I was with him

So will be lots of work and a different sleeping routine etc , loss of total freedom to do what I like when I like but it will be OH SO WORTH IT for the happiness of this little boy who I truly adore , always have , always will , in the words of Bridget Jones

He is such a HUGE fan of my porridge every morning I find it quite flattering lol

Am going to ask SS to move it forward as QUICKLY as possible as he is SO unbelieveably HAPPY here and I just want him to settle here properly , not just regular visits even , happy on a daily permanent basis

I have not felt THIS happy in a very very long time! And this is the happiest I have seen my DGS for a long time too , the same amount of time actually

This is such an unexpected blessing and a good ''trial run'' and is going superbly well which is a very good sign for the future

This is the loveliest thing I have read all week. Nannynoo you and your DGS deserve this happiness. Long may you enjoy being together.

I have been following your story nannynoo and am so pleased that it is all working out so well. I hope that asap turns out to be very very soon indeed

What a LOVELY morning , to wake up to my DGS HUGE SMILE

He is SO happy to be here and I am SO happy to have him here too , he had a huge bowl of ''Nannys porridge'' which he ate all of this morning and I had bought him a musical toothbrush and some bubble gum flavoured toothpaste which he loved , we cleaned our teeth together while both dancing to the musical toothbrush! lol

And he had 'second helpings' of the toothpaste as he liked it so much and he has his special childrens mouthwash too so we both swished our mouthwashes at the same time etc

He got ready for school with no problems whatsoever and LOVED going in a CAR to school as a taxi has been arranged for us and was in such a happy mood when he got to school especially as he knows he will ''see Nanny later''

I think they cannot see any reason NOT to bring it forward now and I fully agree...

Sometimes I used to see things for my DGS to keep at my house and hesitate as whether to buy it or not , but I kept having the feeling YES , buy it , keep it here for him and have FAITH and it has certainly paid off as in the simple things like his musical toothbrush brought him SUCH joy and happily cleaning our teeth together while dancing together in the mirror are memories we will BOTH treasure for a lifetime!!!

It is amazing how he has returned to how he used to be with me pretty much IMMEDIATELY and it shows me the HOME enviroment is SO beneficial and SO much better than a contact centre which of course will never be HOME...

CAN'T WAIT for him to get back from school and have snack time in the garden possibly in the wendy house if I can fit in it with him coz if I can I will jolly well get in there with him and have play house time

This is absolute BLISS , what I have dreamed of and even MORE than I dreamed of to be honest xx

Lovely news nannynoo I am so happy for you and your grandson. While he is safe in your care your DD will have time to sort out her own problems. They are both very lucky to have you. Enjoy the next few days

I am SO glad they are bringing it forward now as he has been away long enough and it is going to be HARD for him to go back now after 5 lovely days at ''Nannys house'' and it is going so much better than I thought and will be hard for me to let him go again too but I know I have to , for the time being xx

I didn't know he loved being with me as much as I loved being with him , silly me , it is just the limited time we have had together plus him bonding so well with the foster carer I thought that tie had been broken but it so well and truly hasn't as it REMAINS!! x

I feel like the happiest woman on earth today!!!

My DGS settled in pretty much straight away , he came in went straight upstairs as though he knew his room would be up there and he had a field day with the toys and it is well and truly messy now!

He was pretty much 'naughty' well cheeky as soon as he got here , he has a thing about throwing balls down the stairs and thinks it is hilarious , plus opening the freezer door so you say ''out the freezer'' and then he laughs but it becomes a game then so is best to ignore it but it shows how quickly he settled in for his cheeky self to come out straight away and he does seem to really like my new house and feel comfortable here!

He had his bath , no PJ's were packed but I had a cute onesie here for him anyway and he had a HUGE bowl of his favourite dinner , macaroni cheese to which I added tomatoes and ham and he ate it all

He LOVES my puppy and it has been SO good for my puppys socialisation as he is very shy of strangers but is getting used to my DGS as he knows he is a child too

My late evening was spent 1/ reading a story to my DGS which he took no notice off as he was too EXCITED to be at Nannys house in his own new room with his sensory toys etc so he decided to check my teeth and put his finger up my nose while I was reading to him! LOL

Then he would not let me leave the room so I tried my ''pretend to sleep'' next to him trick to try and get him to sleep which did not work as he was too excited etc but EVENTUALLY he did settle off to sleep

He is just a little boy like any other who just wants to be loved and feel secure , bless him , he said ''Nanny pyjamas'' when I said it was bedtime so I got into mine too and he wanted his story with me in his bed like he is used to but then would not let me get out lol he often used to end up sleeping with me before and when I tried the ''pretend to fall asleep trick'' so he would get bored and fall asleep too I usually ended up falling alseep too anyway and not getting that ''time to myself'' at the end of the day but I found it quite funny

I want to encourage his independance but to me it seems he just so wants to feel and be LOVED which he knows he is here he wants to make the most of every drop of it and I do want him to feel SECURE and from that place he will truly blossom

I did find he has become a bit insecure but that is not surprising after everything he has been through and all the changes / being suddenly whipped away from ALL his family and not knowing WHY!!!

Good news is they are BRINGING FORWARD me having him now to ASAP even before any court proceedings as that indeed takes time so after one more assessment they want to place him with me straight after!!

Everyone seemed so happy including the SW when she left and she said I have done well and I am grateful to the foster carer for everything she has done for my DGS

There is just no replacement for flesh and blood , family belonging and the ties of love which do remain , was surprised how well my DGS just slotted back in to ''how things used to be'' between us , he even cracked his old jokes ( we have a similar sense of humour ) with his limited speech and he was happy when he recognised some of his old toys which he loves and he needs continuity now as well as ''Nannys porridge'' in the mornings

This has been a real BLESSING the foster carer going on holiday as the SW said because of this they have decided to bring everything forward!

I want an excuse to relax and watch Mr Tumble lol , honestly , have missed childrens TV and it feels a bit wrong to watch it on my own! lol

I just love that whole 'kiddie atmosphere' how they brighten up your home , are so full of joy and energy and enthusiasm and when I see him smile my HEART smiles

Had a cry today but for good reasons this time , still feel a bit tearful , it truly is a miracle what is happening tomorrow , I didn't expect it , it just came out of the blue as a gift and a blessing and such a TREAT but feel it is well deserved on both parts! x

Nannynoo my grandchildren would love what you have got planned for your special five days - I hope you give yourself lots of time to relax and simply enjoy your moments together. Have a lovely time
