Hi I am new here! but it is helpful to find people with similar stories.

I like buying clothes for my grandchildren but I feel like they never wear what I buy. I tend to buy what I used to buy for my self when i had my kids but seems like that is out of fashion now. my DIL always said I spend too much money on them.

I feel like stores should have a recommended area or products you can choose from so you don't waits your money.

any advise on how to buy "cool" or useful stuff? or have you had same experience?

Thank you for reading!!

I've tried sending clothes to the family in India, and they never got there, so I leave it up to them. I give them money instead.
DIL likes to go online and buys loads of things from ebay, often 2nd hand, but the children seem to still wear the things.
I had a similar experience to Flickety with another grand daughter - I bought her an outfit for Xmas late, all the shop had left was in black. She said "I don't like it!" Don't blame her really.

Have found George at Asda very good for baby clothes and well priced too.

I agree about George at Asda, Lys60 - not just for baby clothes but up to age 14. Value for money and stylish enough for the older ones.

Why pay more for something that will be grown out of within months, if not weeks?

I never need to buy clothing for two of my GSs because both parents work for a company that gives them a substantial discount so I just need to send a voucher if clothes are needed. They are very stylish boys!
I also know where my C*******s presents will come from. grin

Ana I feel the same about George-it is stylish and good value. I bought my newborn granddaughter beautiful clothing by George; she has outgrown them now but while they fitted her she looked beautiful in them. In fact I have just bought her a lovely little coat with hood 3-6 months with butterflies on it-a similar coat by another chain was twice the price!

I like the range of clothing available in Sainsburys, for adults as well as children. DGD is now 8 but when conversation moves to discussing some of the loveliest clothes she had as a toddler the garments almost always came from Sainsburys (or Leclerc, a French supermarket chain).

I have suddenly realised that, today, both the trousers, top, and sweater I am wearing come from Sainsburys, all bought in different years.

Must look at Sainsburys for babies'clothes-certainly I have had some lovely tops from there over the years.
