Just a little boast that I'm pleased to say my first Great Grandchild arrived 3wks early and here am I a thousand miles away in Gibraltar celebrating my youngest Grandson Louis 2nd birthday.
Welcome to the family Dylan James, 6lbs 3oz mum and baby doing well.

Mother to a grandfather.... Heavens, I bet I'm not the only one still coming to terms with being mother to a father! grin

Feeling ancient after a busy day at the beach with 2yr old Louis but actually I'm 'only' 66 . I might maybe try to get a local paper to print it what thrill that would be for my 90yr old ex MIL.

Heavens tanith - you must be positively ancient! grin

Congratulations - how very exciting!

That's my thoughts exactly pink princess my DD2 is nearly 43 too. We also are 5 generations as my DD grandmother (ex MIL) is still alive at 90 yrs I have to try and get a 5generation photo.

Congratulations Tanith

I became a great grandmother to a baby boy last November. My granddaughter is 21 too, my family are early starters as well.
What I thought strange was that I was mother to a grandfather as my DS2 is just 43

Golly tanith, do you remember thinking that great grandparents were obviously really old people? Now suddenly it's quite obvious that being a great grandmother is within the reach of many of us - and we still feel/are so young!! wink
Congratulations - I'm sure Dylan James is a gorgeous little fellow. flowers

Congratulations, Tanith - lovely news!
I was made a Great-grandma 5 years ago, and I feel so proud (and not ONE bit whiter-headed or wrinkly) when picking up the wee lad from nursery and when he yells, "Great-grandma!!", rushing headlong towards me! He starts school after the summer holidays. smile
