Just a little boast that I'm pleased to say my first Great Grandchild arrived 3wks early and here am I a thousand miles away in Gibraltar celebrating my youngest Grandson Louis 2nd birthday.
Welcome to the family Dylan James, 6lbs 3oz mum and baby doing well.

I don't think I'll ever see my GGC, being an older mum myself.

Congratulations Tanith. I doubt if I will ever make that role. sad

I will be 82 when DGS1 is 18. I would hope he does not start a family at such an early age. My Mum and Dad missed being GGPs by about 7 mnths and never knew one was expected.

Congratulations, Tanith - lovely news!
I was made a Great-grandma 5 years ago, and I feel so proud (and not ONE bit whiter-headed or wrinkly) when picking up the wee lad from nursery and when he yells, "Great-grandma!!", rushing headlong towards me! He starts school after the summer holidays. smile

I have sometimes wondered if you feel the same joy in great GC as in your GC. From all the reactions it seems as if you do. grin

Can't wait. smile
