My seven year grand-daughters latest thing is watching utube videos. We have just spent a few hours watching them, and I feel so strongly about some of these videos. What sort of parent actually encourages their children to make videos of themselves and post them online for all to see. We have six year olds asking people to ‘subscribe to their channel’ !! Maybe I’m just getting old!

My 8 year old DGS also watches these and has been a keen viewer for about a year. Mainly he watches Minecraft videos, but he also seems to enjoy the ones with families doing funny things. I agree that I wouldn’t want to post these up,but gather that these families make a lot of money from them by way of the adverts that appear on their channels, and the more likes they have, or better still subscribers the more revenue they earn!
! Utube stars are big business!
