AIBU to ban my 2yr old grandson?

This posting is like having a bad tooth - I keep having to come back to see how much worse the comments are getting. I really don't know whether to laugh or cry!

Not sure if this is serious or not ..... But oh, how I would LOVE any of my grandchildren to come in and 'find fault'.... I rarely see them as they live in USA... ?

It really mystifies me.
I wonder, genuinely, what people get out of using a forum where they don't read most of what's written?

My grandson loved my new cordless vacuum, so much, that he persuaded his Mum to buy one,. Job done daughter doesn’t hoover anymore!

Misadventure, why read through 6 pages of comments when the original post is so obviously not real? That's not what a "forum" is for!

I tend to retain all fluff and dust in case anyone falls. They don't get hurt in my house!

Esmerelda, if you don't read the comments and you don't have the same sense of humour as the OP, you end up making the same mistake as the others who didn't read the comments. You wouldn't even need to read past the first page to realise this was a humorous post!

Always encouraged my children to help as their father couldn’t do anything and didn’t want them the same. Had some failures with DS when he was 17 asking how to cook the long spaghetti, told him just to put it in a pan and let it boil, while later something smelt awful,it was one of my pans on the hob with a burnt bottom, said to him you can’t have put enough water in it,his reply was, you never said I had to put water in it lol.
More success with my daughters though who are no my carers and do everything for me,even the 15 year old, the eldest of them has just decorated all downstairs and laid wood flooring for me

I think the OP is having a laff! Either that, or she's OCD about her house and can't bear to think anyone can see a speck of dust. Even if there's no dust, the dgs will invent or pretend there is, just so he can practice his cleaning!

My Grandchubbas love cleaning . They use wet wipes to clean their play kitchen. Washing up creates a big mess but they love it.
Buy him a little kit - dustpan and brush, dusters etc. As long as no chemicals etc. Make the most of him while he is young and having adventures.

This thread is a good example of why I sometimes plough through pages and pages of responses before composing a reply to an OP! It drives me mad having to do it sometimes, but conversations move on, more information/updates are given and it's always worth the trouble.

I did post very early on that I thought the OP was tongue in cheek as a clue to those who might take it seriously.

No wonder the NHS is overworked, so many sense of humour bypasses.

Make a game of it, but him a toy dustpan and brush,or a toy Hoover,my grandson 3 used to love sweeping the floor we used to do it together I used my broom he used his.
My advice, Don't make a big thing of it.

If I said to my son and his wife about banning a two year old grandson I probably would be banned or they'd laugh in my face . So they should . I have never heard anything more petty .
