Three year olds have their own logic, don't they? GD's reason for not having a bath was "I'm a cat. Cats don't like water."

brilliant.. she'll go far...

I miss those days, my gd was very argumentative and dictator like under the age of 5. I was always told where to park when looking for a space, usually that would be somewhere prohibited, then I'd be admonished for not taking it, and no amount of explanation as to why I couldn't park there would be satisfactory grinIf either of us tried to join in with her nursery songs she sang in the car, like "wind the bobbin up" or that God awful song from Frozen we generally got told "you're singing it all wrong, now I'll have to start all over again" Again any statement made would be met with a "no" and then suddenly, I can't remember when exactly, that all seemed to disappear.

We,ve been waiting to have faux grass laid for what seems like ages 4 year old GD decided to take contro.I,ll paint it for you Papa she says,I,ll get a can of blue paint and and a can of yellow and we can mix the exact shade….she then took Papa out to walk the length of the area so she could calculate (her word) how many cans they needed.Thankfully she decided it was too much work for one girl.My GD,s keep me laughing every day

Mine managed to convince me the tiny broccoli florets were sleeping under the bed of mash potatoes and she didn’t like to disturb them…🤔

Ah - she's still working out the value-loaded nature of the word "waste"!

We look after our three year old great grand-daughter once a week and she has always been a sweet natured child. We had no 'terrible twos' but now she's three I wonder what you call the latest phases? Yesterday - Me "You're very argumentative today sweetheart" G g-d "No I'm not"!
We've been teaching her that it's not good to waste things - she has a habit of taking one bite of a fruit and leaving the rest. G g-d "Nanny I just wasted a plum and a banana, sorry Nanny"!
