National Geographic have two children's magazines - 'Little Kids' for 3-6, and 'Kids' for older children. The 'Little Kids' one is excellent. Lots of info about animals of course, but other things too, and 'spot the difference'/simple mazes and 'initial letter' pages, and...stickers! Do you have a Waitrose near you? They quite often have it in there.

Definitely in Waitrose today.

Not sure where you live, but I think National Geographic's children's magazine is American. I've never heard of it here in the UK. If you're in the USA, I imagine there would be some second-hand back copies on sale on EBay.

I'm in the UK. The NatGeog website prices it in UK Sterling £.

I second Aquila for when your GD is older. My GD enjoyed it and looked forward to it arriving. She's too old for it now, though.

I used to buy my grandson Aquila magazine but that is 8+. I might get it for m youngest grandson who’s 7 and prefers factual books to stories.

I bought the subscription for National geographic kids magazine during Covid.

They have enjoyed reading it, the posters and activities but they are now older and less interested. It has been very difficult to cancel the subscription but I think I've finally managed to do it!

Yes, it's a good mag but make sure you're not paying it when they leave for Uni lol!

If you are members of a Wildlife Trust or the RSPB you can get a children’s magazine along with your own membership. The magazines are excellent. You can probably sign up your grandchildren in their own right even if you are not a member.

We bought a subscription for climate conscious grandson's Christmas present. He got his first copy last week. I shall ask him about it tomorrow and feed back. Meanwhile shall have a look at What on Earth....!
