Oh carry on going unless you start to get the impression that she’d rather you didn’t. It is lovely for you to get to know your new grandchild. You could offer to take him off her hands for a short time, perhaps take baby for a walk, so that she could have a little nap or just put her feet up as she’s probably tired.

Just ask beforehand if it's ok for you to pop round. Say you don't want to crowd her.
Ask if she needs anything bringing, a bit of shopping, something for lunch maybe.
She could just be too busy to get round to inviting you!

I want to say to my daughter in law (who is lovely) that me and my hubby have really enjoyed popping round once a week for a couple of hours to see her and our new grandchild. After about 4 weeks of doing this, I realise it is always me that initiates this. This week I feel like I should leave it, and if any thing happens it’s a bonus. I don’t want to crowd her. But at the same time she might genuinely like us coming round. Does anyone get this, and what would you do? Thanks x
