Well I didn't know that about the name being in blue so I checked mine and mine is in black! What does that mean then?

shysal Sat 21-May-16 08:50:36

Hello millymouge, welcome flowers. You are by no means the oldest member! If you click on any names in blue, their age is usually declared. I like your car's name, mine has a rude one, based on its number plate!

janywoo, I thought it was only us Brits who discussed the weather! I imagine gardening is a challenge in Arizona.

janywoo Sat 21-May-16 05:53:06

Thanks for the welcome, I love reading the threads about gardening and stormy weather, I live in Arizona where we call our friends when it's raining to ask if it's raining across town.

millymouge Welcome and enjoy.

I've only just joined, to be honest I didn't know Gransnet existed, but am thoroughly enjoying reading all the messages. I am probably one of the older members, being 76. I have 3 grown up children and 6 grandchildren ranging from 24 down to 4 years, and a very dear DH. Am looking forward to getting to know people by their different names. Had trouble thinking of a name and in the end went for what I call my little red car!!!

Welcome one and all and a special congrats to RGN-what gorgeous babies (sigh)
There's nothing like a baby in your arms is there-and nothing better than giving them back too. Lol!
We had our 7yr old DGS and his sister 6yrs old round this afternoon after picking them up from school. DGD was desperate to read her new book so we sat on sofa reading while DH did some art work with DGS - and then SIL collected them at 4.30-win, win.

Hello, I found the site by accident and I'm new to Gransnet today. Why is it when you are asked for a username every sensible/funny/reasonable/useful name just doesn't come to mind - or ........ unknown to me, has dementia set in?

I have browsed Mumsnet in the past and found very useful information there, but as I am a great-grandmother there will hopefully be interesting topics to read which are more appropriate to grans and great-grans even though we are young at heart! In due course I will posting on the subject of all things dental ..... and hope that anyone interested will give me (and us) comments, information and advice.

Off to make a brew now and I suspect the rest of the afternoon will fly by catching up on Gransnet!!

Lulu, forgot to say congratulations on your soon-to-be status as a grandmother , you have years of fun ahead! flowers

shysal Fri 29-Apr-16 16:46:08

Hello Lulu46, MontanaGal and MIlasnanna1. I hope you will enjoy Gransnet. Sorry, I haven't checked for newbies for a while.

Lulu and Milasnanna, I suggest you start new threads for answers to your questions, as this one doesn't get much attention. (Feels like just me sometimes!) Go to 'Forums' above, choose a suitable general heading, then 'Start a new discussion'. You can then click on 'watch this thread' and keep tabs on it by using the boxes 'watching', 'I'm on', 'last hour' etc.

Montana, I am sorry you have felt like an outsider. We have members from all over the world, and all should be included. I am interested to see you describe Obama as a loser, I thought he was well liked. What do you think of Trump? He doesn't come across well to me!
