I am having a grand dog!!
My D and GD are going to view and choose on Tuesday.
He/she is a Cavachon and Is a present for my GS's birthday in March. He is currently visiting his father in the sun 3000 miles away. I can't wait to see him/her. The puppies are now about 3 weeks old and they can have one at the end of March.
How the 3 spoilt cats will take to the intruder remains to be seen.

Sorry, forgot to drop off the promised maltloaf yesterday! There is some left, though if DH was left alone with it there might not be! Get in quick!

So pleased that Georgie is home, I'm sure that will aid her recovery.

After a dull start, the sun is out here. I have a blackberry and apple pie to make this morning. We were shopping in a local market last week and DH bought a B&A pie from a stall. I told him not to buy it but he did anyway and, as I suspected it would be, it was horrible; full of gluey, tinned pie filling ?. He admitted (unprompted) later that he should have listened to me. Well, that's a first!!

grannyqueenie Smiffy is handsome and gorgeous. I am sure that he does not get under your feet, he is trying to be helpful.

Quite cold here although dry today. My 4 legged alarm clock is back to normal, exercising her lungs. Now that she dragged me out of bed an hour ago, she has retired to my bed! Where am I going wrong?

Following MB's list of under-sink products I did a quick recce of mine and I've got things I didn't know I had. In duplicate. So a rather thorough sort-out followed and now there's plenty if space in case I "need" some more.

Reading some of the recent posts I realise I am suffering from serious vacuum cleaner envy, how sad is that! And yes I too have an abundance of products for jobs I don't like, window cleaning for example!

Bit of a difficult day today, Mr C had a very slow speed (probably not measurable) bump with the car manoeuvring out of a tight parking spot, no injuries, only visible vehicle injury a tiny scuff mark on the bumper of other car, nothing on ours but understandably aggravated other driver left me shaking. He insisted it could have done untold damage to his car. We await his garage inspection. Isn't it strange how a day can change in an instant? I keep telling myself not to think about it, but its flattened me. Oh well, another day tomorrow not touched as my Mum used to say.

Jud Georgie has such expressive eyes. Such a pity that she lives so far away, across the water! I hope that you all sleep well tonight- she must be so relieved to be home again, I only hope that she is not in much pain.

Regarding getting stuck in tight places, a few years ago we were in St. Ives, Cornwall. Hubby decided that the way we needed to go was down a street that a van had just turned into, so down the street we went, despite my protestations that it was too narrow. "That van`s getting down alright" he said. "That van`s not as wide as us", I said. And what do you know? We got stuck halfway down, I had to suffer the embarrassment of all the stares and grins as he reversed very slowly and carefully out of the street!
As for the shepherdesses, I think the first one is our Soop.

jud I'm sure she'll settle down in a few days. It all must have been very unsettling for her. When you said she was weeing everywhere with excitement, I was reminded of the collie my sister had who wet herself with excitement every time she saw DH. She never did it with anyone else and Sis used to make her greet him outside in the front garden to save the hall carpet a soaking!

I am consoling myself with a cup of coffee and a cheese scone having spent half the afternoon trying to colour buttercream the right shade of green to represent the grass that I want to pipe onto GS's birthday cake. So far, I have had an unpleasant shade of khaki, and a peppermint green I can't seem to get past. I have given up for today and put out an all points appeal for help on the food forum! I make GS a cake for his birthday every year, and this one - Minecraft - has given me more headaches than all the others put together. I thought it would be relatively straightforward. Ha!

I haven't had the rugby on this afternoon as DH has gone to the footie, but he will be glued to the Wales match tommorrow, and I daresay his long lost accent will put in an appearance as the afternoon progresses. It usually does! ?

Continuing the stories of narrow country lanes becoming inadvertently blocked, I was once on a coach in Cornwall going from A to B tourist spots. The driver informed us we were running late but not to worry as he knew a shortcut, and promptly turned down a road with a sign at the top clearly stating it was unsuitable for coaches! Yes, he got us well and truly wedged between 2 bends

Passengers decamped to the rear of the vehicle and we made our way back up the hill to an hotel where they gave us tea and cake until taxis were organised to get us back to our hotel. A replacement coach was acquired for the rest of our break and they had to bring in a crane to lift the coach from the road!!

"At this moment in time..." One of my pet hate statements, Scotland are leading Ireland by a comfortable margin. As I said before the game kicked off...Come on SCOTLAND!
