Jud I've been worrying about Georgie. Thanks to bags I did have an update. You must have felt awful when you couldn't cuddle her during Sunday's visit. It's going to be slow but certain recovery. I feel it in my water.

By the way, I now have a hearing aid in both ears. Every sound is loud...even the rustling of paper and tapping of my fingers on the keyboard. It's going to get a good bit of getting used to. I'm thankful that the NHS is marvellous on so many levels.

One way around it would be to abandon the present soop's kitchen and open another thread as before if we would be allowed.

Since coming home so late a couple of nights ago, Tara has almost reverted to her previous self. To date no crashing into my bedroom early am to get me out of bed and no more high pitched howls for no reason at silly o'clock. Maybe she appreciates where she lives and who cares for her.

It is going to take me a very long time to read all the happenings since our internet connection was lost. So far, I've caught up with a mere fraction of all the lovely messages.

I'm a very well-mannered and patient person normally but, I do feel that GNHQ has pulled a "fast one" and I really would like an explanation. Why was the kitchen singled out for re-vamping? I am possibly frustrated by a number of issues at the moment. Internet down/house in a state of disarray/rain piddling down...all I need to restore my equilibrium is, as I've already said, a brief explanation.

Now I'm off to continue catch-up --and stuff myself with a virtual slab of comfort cake.

Ta dah... the agony of not being with you lot has been annulled thanks to the engineer who has been kindly fixing stuff in the pouring rain and inside our house. No internet connection since Tuesday early afternoon. So much catching up to do. It will possibly take most of the afternoon to read all the messages and admire all the photos.

NOW...what's been happening hereabouts? Why was the kitchen moved? Surely there hasn't been a falling out? There are so many forums and it appears that the kitchen (where everyone was and is welcome) has been singled out for a re-vamp. GNHQ Why? Has someone objected? I'm baffled. It's a buggeration.

I'm hoping this is a kitchen as I've forgotten my purse and could do with a bit of cake! My plan for today was a bus trip to check out the new very swanky John Lewis. However after an early morning distress call I find myself snuggled under a blanket on the sofa with a not very poorly 10 year old. Her new teacher is very strict about not sending children home unless they actually vomit, she wasn't going to fit the criteria so was very anxious about going to school not feeling well.
So not the day I'd planned but probably better for the bank balance! GD is such a sweetie, my favourite grand dog is here too and after all JL will still be there next week. Good wishes to all with big health issues on their minds, either human or canine and come back soon soop, we miss you

Nana&Grampy I cannot walk around eg Brent X so I save money there and if I did not have a computer my bank balance would look totally different! He could not understand why I wanted to venture afar, eg go on a holiday to Scotland. Not possible because of my lack of mobility and my friends do not have stair lifts! I need to discuss the subject with somebody who understands ie the consultant.

Jackson and Cooper will love a trip to the icecream shop later today. I hope that is not their daddy's treat also.

It is Jackson and Coopers Dads birthday today so we are picking up Cooper after lunch club for a couple of hours then Jackson after school. Off to soft play for an hour or so before dropping them off to celebrate Daddy's birthday with Mummy and Daddy at the ice-cream shop !

Mummy has treated Daddy to lunch somewhere nice and a matinee to see the new Star Wars movie. A great sacrifice on her behalf as it wouldn't be her first choice of movie !!
