Photos herewith...

Hello lovely people. I'm wondering what the latest news is of Georgie. Perhaps Jud will update us in due course.

Sleeping on the sofa was extremely comfortable. I woke up feeling refreshed. The view through the window was beautiful. A rosy sky. A skittish sea.

Charleyg and corner Rory was somewhat bemused with last night's sleeping arrangements. In spite of "owning" several cushions and a rug, he camped on the side of the bed propped up in the narrow passageway. A photo to follow. He's now officiating the on-going flooring project. MacS took a photo a few minutes ago. I shall share with you all.

Lona It's good to have you back. I've been wondering where you are and if all is well. smile

kitty You must have the patience of Job. Anyone would think that you have all the time in the world to deal with life's distractions.

MawB I'm also thinking of you. What did the doctor say?

Izabella I looked back at a pm you sent me regarding Bella. It starts with...'Ashe...'and goes on to tell me about the collar etc. From that moment on, I mistakenly believed that Bella was in fact an Ashe. Now, of course, I know better.

MawBroon Mon 30-Jan-17 12:52:34

So, not cellulitis but "flea - bite - is" Still makes me feel old.
Dr suggested a I should put my feet up -huh! What planet is he on grin
How is Georgie today?

Greyduster Mon 30-Jan-17 12:35:15

Well, our planned outing to Chatsworth Park didn't amount to much today. It was foggy here this morning but had started to clear when we set out, but on the outskirts of the Peak District you could not see your hand in front of your face and experience tells us that it would be slow to clear, so we did a detour and came home to wait for a better day. One reason for going out was for me to familiarise myself with this car, and I rather enjoyed it. Onward and upward!

I am another who is anxious to hear how jud's lovely doggie is. Fingers crossed.

Bellanonna Mon 30-Jan-17 12:33:49

Heartfelt sympathy MawBroon. ?

Charleygirl Mon 30-Jan-17 11:09:47

cornergran Tara has had a personality change over the last 2 years. Before she was more than happy snoozing indoors, going out for a short while but greeting my car whenever I drove home. She never seemed to be far away from the front door.

She has her litter tray at home in case she is caught short during the night but the minx goes out for 12 hours and the first thing she does is use the tray in the warmth and comfort of her home when she returns.

I do not think she has dementia because she always returns home, certainly in cold weather. She used to scratch armchairs downstairs but thankfully no longer does that. I think that she is just a spoiled brat who expects to get her own way every time.

I do home that we hear how Georgie is getting on today.

Izabella Mon 30-Jan-17 10:41:25

Wellies and stout stick at the ready for a quick wade to the neighbours then we are going to see Lion at the cinema (after a change of attire I might add!). A lovely natter on the bus too.

Will be back later for all the news and hopefully a positive update on Georgie. Should be back just in time for a lovely dinner cooked by OH.

BElla has found herself a piece of string about 8" long and is fully occupied with that at the moment. I expect she will retire for a long snooze before long.

Goodness, turn my back for a day and so much happening

Love the photos, soop, pleased to see mas looking so chipper in spite lof the post office lady. For what it's worth I agree with him and galen it's not necessary if there is no child involved. What will he do? Continue to argue or give in for the sake of expedience? Maybe take a hard hat to the post office smile. The floor sounds to be progressing well, the cats will appreciate their new carpet, like the sound of your sofa. I often sleep on ours for part of the night when pain is a bother and find myself more comfortable. Who said sleeping has to be in a bed?

Charlie I would offer respite to your lodger if Mr C weren't allergic to cats, she sounds interesting hmm.

Those viewings keep on coming n&g, loved the thought of origami toilet roll, maybe Cooper could help you?

Hope the wine helped the frustration kitty, suspect every family has someone like your brother in law. Oh goodness maw, that's the last thing you need. Good to get the malt flowing this evening, just in case. smile.

Can't recall who it was mentioned rugby on tv. Mr C is Welsh but rarely watches, after many years of pondering I still find that odd. Or maybe it's me that is odd grin

Minding Littlest tomorrow. 7.30 start so a busy day. Best get some sleep, keep warm and well everyone.

Crafting Sun 29-Jan-17 20:27:26

wine here you go kitty we always have a bottle (cask, vat, bath tub) open and ready to share grin. I think you'd better have one too Maw. Men eh! I can't complain. Mine is like MacS. Always the gentleman ( plus he's just got me coffee and some left over Christmas choccies to munch grin

MawBroon Sun 29-Jan-17 20:12:16

Have one on mewine
After a week of waiting on DH hand and foot because of his cellulitis I have a strong suspicion that my swollen, tight, red ankle might be me coming out in sympathy. So guess who will continue to wait on him hand and foot but with less good grace if the doctor confirms this tomorrow morning angry
PS. Enjoying a hefty wee single malt in case I have to start on the anti-b's.

kittylester Sun 29-Jan-17 20:07:04

Any one got any wine? Just had a very frustrating phone call with BiL who, although he is very nearly 80 goes from one scrape to another and needs baling (bailing?) out yet again. He has no flipping regard for other members of his family who are truly suffering and need his help!angryangry

Lona Sun 29-Jan-17 17:13:45

I just watched that programme too, how beautiful Tarbert looked in the sunshine. I would love to live near the sea.

Charleygirl Sun 29-Jan-17 17:11:48

soop please may I book MacSporran to sort out my 3 bedrooms and landing floors please?

N&G the lodger ran into my bedroom at 7am today and immediately started clawing at the laminate edging in front of my fitted wardrobe. I shouted at her so she moved to the side of my bed and clawed at that. I ignored her, switched on the TV to watch the news, she lay on the pillow beside me, I fell asleep so there was a repeat performance a couple of hours later.

Good luck, about time somebody lade an offer- they are all very slow.

soop Sun 29-Jan-17 17:11:05

Goodnight to all the lovely Granspals. I shall be with you again in the morning. smile moon

soop Sun 29-Jan-17 16:23:25

There promises to be a beautiful sunset. Camera at the ready.

soop Sun 29-Jan-17 16:21:42

I've to camp on the sofa for the next few nights. MacSporran is dealing with the mid-section of the bedroom wood flooring saga. It's a comfortable sofa. I shall enjoy the change of scenery. Because MacS suffers with terrible cramp in his leg muscles, he has slept comfortably in the semi-reclining chair for some months. Thus we shall be sharing the same room, together with Rory. The flooring is beginning to look very smart. Most of the carpet will go to the tip. We've reserved the best bit for the cats' chalet. Seriously! wink
The bathroom is cluttered with furniture, and because I cannot gain access to my wardrobe space, the compact computer/music/art studio space is also in a bit of a guddle. Never mind. All will be well...in due course.

soop Sun 29-Jan-17 16:11:47

Galen I have told him. He grin from ear to ear. We shall see what happens when we invade the post office on Tuesday.

MawB I felt extraordinarily chuffed when "our area" was featured on TV's Hidden Villages. The island of Gigha, purchased and owned by the residents, also featured. It is a mere stone's throw from our home. A short ferryboat ride and journey by car to a beautiful beach on which Her Majesty has picnicked. That was at a time when the Royal Yacht was anchored off shore.

NanaandGrampy Sun 29-Jan-17 15:59:01

Isn't it Maw , I really enjoyed it

Galen Sun 29-Jan-17 15:43:17

There is spoken guidance on google

MawBroon Sun 29-Jan-17 15:41:03

Thank you for the heads up about Penelope Keith's Hidden Villages! I have just watched it on Channel4 catch up and it was lovely!

Galen Sun 29-Jan-17 15:36:08

I think he's right!
( but don't tell him! It might make his sore head swell)

soop Sun 29-Jan-17 15:04:43

Greyduster the hat suits MacS. It is rather ancient but it wears well.
Well done to your grandson and all the other participants of the cross country race.
And, yes please, I would very much enjoy one of those coconut tarts. My mouth is watering at the very thought.

Has anyone caught the final match between Roger and Rafa? It was amazing. I wished that there was such a thing as a draw in tennis. Two extraordinary competitors. The crowd went wild with excitement.

soop Sun 29-Jan-17 14:56:00

Galen MacSorran is prompting me to say, on his behalf...Section 10, countersignature. "I confirm that I have known the person named in section 2, or, in the case of a child, the adult filling in section 9 (insert their name)" The post office insists we need to repeat the person named in Section 2. MacSporran disagrees, it has already been stated, and there is no child involved. He trusts your judgement. grin

NanaandGrampy Sun 29-Jan-17 14:40:18

Ah , Galen you already have it all in hand!!

Sounds wonderful !!

Galen Sun 29-Jan-17 14:37:36

The next three are booked. All on Queeen Elizabeth.
I did complain and they've given me $50 on board credit on the next cruise.
Not much but better than a slap in the face with a wet kipperas my gran used to say
