This kitchen will be ready for those who care to share...smile

soop Wed 25-Jan-17 16:31:03

Ann You remain in our thoughts. flowers

soop Wed 25-Jan-17 16:29:52

kitty Do you suppose that our husbands could be brothers? MacSporran returned home with a very red nose. It's cold and windy with it. Apparently six committee members huddled side-by-side along the banks of the wee burn. It took almost forty five minutes to reach a conclusion re flood defence. I believe the suggestion will now go to a vote. hmm grin

soop Wed 25-Jan-17 16:24:17

Tizliz The sky is beautiful because it is moody and dramatic. I like the cloud formation. I have a "thing" about clouds. We have a blanket of grey over Kintyre. It's also very windy.

kittylester Wed 25-Jan-17 16:19:40

Well, surprise, surprise, DH has come up with a really good plan for the study conveniently forgetting it is extremely similar to the one I suggested before he started! Bless!

corner, we had a new kitchen table in November and I am still falling over the legs which are not where the old ones were!confused

There is a lady in our village n&g who would wear as many bows as you could make - she is always most colourful and leaves a trail of them dotted about the village. I hope one of your viewings comes to fruition.

I hope Ann is well and comes back to the kitchen soon.

Tizliz Wed 25-Jan-17 16:16:10

lovely sky this evening, don't think the photo does it justice.

soop Wed 25-Jan-17 14:04:50

kitty I laughed out loud when I read..."lots of measuring and head scratching..." Join the club. I have to vault crawl across the bed to access the wardrobe. The room is in a right pickle. Rory is constantly checking out the tools and such that clutter the floor. MacSporran is doing a good job. He also stands and stares...I've given up asking what he's thinking. Apparently, it's what craftsmen do inbetween sawing and hammering and all that jazz. wink

N&G Love the bows. Would love some cake. Hey ho...as bags would sigh.

MacSporran is oot and aboot in the village. He and the community committee are sussing out whereabouts the burn is likely to burst it's banks when we next experience dastardly weather.

I hardly dare pop into the kitchen but so glad to hear more hopeful news of Georgie. She has her own gang of well wishers. The vet's surgery is being bombarded with positive vibes. sunshine

NanaandGrampy As always, your photo of Cooper is delightful. Us lot agree that his smile warms the heart. Your duck photo was superb. together with the squirrel on a frosty ledge.
You've a busy day ahead. I would appreciate a dollop of your energy...if there's any to spare.

oldgoat Wed 25-Jan-17 10:49:13

What a lucky girl to have such a talented granny NandG.That bow looks so pretty and nobody else will have one like it. Love Cooper's cheeky grin!

Charleygirl Wed 25-Jan-17 09:45:21

Delighted to read that Georgie appears to be slightly better and lets hope that it is swelling that is causing the paralysis. She seems to be a fighter like her mum.

I love seeing Cooper with his beaming smiles (when it suits him) but I do know that he has his share of meltdowns. N&G I do hope that you stay well clear of cakes and anything sweet.

N&G if you are in the mood for tidying up please feel free to pop in here.

I am trying desperately to lose weight but I am tackling it from the psychological point of view, telling myself I only have 3 kilos to lose. If I thought what I should lose I would retire to bed with a box of Maltesers and a good book. So far it has been 5 kilos, better than zilch.

Heavy freezing fog here, I will be going nowhere.

annodomini Wed 25-Jan-17 09:43:01

So pleased to hear the better news about Georgie, jud. Fingers crossed that the improvement continues. flowers for you and a gentle (((hug))) for Georgie.

NonnaW Wed 25-Jan-17 09:42:40

Good to hear about Georgie's progress. Hopefully once all the swelling goes down there will be movement again. Fingers crossed. I thought of Georgie this morning after watching Purdey hurtling round the field after the ball. Here's hoping that will be Georgie again soon.

NanaandGrampy Wed 25-Jan-17 09:17:21

Good Morning !

what positive news about GeorgiaJud !! Is your vet hospital far from your home? You must be exhausted with the worry. I hope she's showing a little more improvement today too x

Corner I love that phrase 'mischief magnet' made me chuckle. Its true he is a real boost and that's lovely. We had a snack at the gym yesterday and we asked him what he would like . He replied ' cubumber' ! Makes you see cucumber in a whole new light smile

Another viewing today so at least we are finally getting people through the door. The upside of being SO tidy is apart from the daily chores there's nothing else to do.

So we are off out for a mooch round the shops and maybe a slice of cake. My new pill for my diabetes seems to be working well and for some strange reason I am not really craving sweet things at all which is a plus.

I am making hair bows for our granddaughter today. They are all the rage apparently at school but to purchase them are over £5+ each. A clip plus ribbon plus glue comes in at about a £1 so good old Nana to the rescue. These were my trial ribbons .

Happy day everyone !

cornergran Wed 25-Jan-17 08:53:38

That sounds more hopeful, jud, feel for you all. Still have everything crossed for a positive outcome.

Oh dear, the process of 'reassigning' a room is rarely fun, kitty. Your experience storing furniture while your new floor is installed sounds very familiar, soop, hope you both collect fewer bruises than I did walking into things that just shouldn't have been there. I'm sure you both have more common sense that I do smile. It will all be worth it in the end.

Loved the photos n&g, how could that face do anything inappropriate? Our Littlest is also a mischief magnet, he always lifts the spirits, little boys, eh?

sunseeker Wed 25-Jan-17 08:47:22

Encouraging news about Georgie, you must be worn out jud as callgirl1 said, we are all rooting for her

Izabella Wed 25-Jan-17 08:43:33

A flying visit as popped in for news of Georgie. Pleased to see there are more positive vibes here. Eggs and bacon next. And it's cold out there ...........

Greyduster Wed 25-Jan-17 08:36:30

Same here, jud, been keeping an eye out for news. That does sound positive.

Nelliemoser Wed 25-Jan-17 08:29:26

Good for Georgie. I just came in to see if there was any news. I hope the improvement continues.

kittylester Wed 25-Jan-17 07:13:29

That sounds encouraging jud! Thank you for thinking of letting us all know.

Soop, I feel we are in the same boat. DH is 'reassigning' what was his sterilising room/office and making it a study. It seems to entail emptying the room into all the other rooms and lots of measuring and head scratching. grin

baubles Wed 25-Jan-17 05:10:53

Just popped in to see if there was any news about Georgie. That does sound encouraging Jud, fingers and toes crossed for her.

callgirl1 Wed 25-Jan-17 00:56:32

oldgoat Tue 24-Jan-17 23:38:54

X

MawBroon Tue 24-Jan-17 23:36:54

flowers
That does sound encouraging even though the poor girl is not out of the woods yet. You must be worn to a frazzle.
Good luck little Georgie, you are clearly a fighter!

Judthepud2 Tue 24-Jan-17 23:19:50

Latest Georgie report:

She had her MRI scan today but we didn't manage to see her as she was too doped and not up to visitors. The scan showed a 'contusion' between her first 2 vertebrae which seems to be the source of the paralysis. Surgeon decided that an operation was not the solution so it is a waiting game for the swelling to go down to see if there is any permanent damage to the spinal cord. Fingers crossed that this is not the case. On a positive note she apparently sat herself up this morning, and when put into standing position held herself for a few seconds.

The surgeon seems to be pleased with these signs and is very cautiously positive there may be a better outcome than at first thought.

NanaandGrampy Tue 24-Jan-17 23:00:55

Don't be misled sunseeker, Cooper is my naughty boy . [Smile] mischief sticks to him !!

sunseeker Tue 24-Jan-17 21:31:53

Cooper looks an absolute sweetie!! Such a lovely smile
