It was my husband`s birthday yesterday, the first since he died, so I treated the family to a meal out to mark the occasion. It`s very rare for us all to be in the same place at the same time, so it was a nice little affair. There were all 5 of our children, plus husbands and wives, 6 of our 7 grandchildren, 2 with girlfriends, and my BIL and his partner, 20 of us in all. I couldn`t resist taking a few photos, it`ll probably be a long time before we`re all together again. Eldest grandson couldn`t be there because he now lives in Wales.
When we arrived home at 10.30pm, Mia ran out of the door, she`s not usually allowed out at night, but she seized the opportunity. I thought with it being so very cold she`d soon be back, and with not liking to keep opening the door late at night, I put the security cameras on TV so that I could see when she came back. At 2.45am I reluctantly gave up and went to bed, but it was white over outside, and I couldn`t sleep for worrying about her. This morning my daughter shouted upstairs that she could hear miaowing on the other side of the bathroom wall, which is the garage. I put my coat on and went out to unlock the garage door, opened it, and out shot Mia! She must have sneaked in when my SIL put the wheelchair away. I wonder if it`ll teach her not to be so flipping nosey? Somehow I doubt it!
