The men are not here so the washing on. With luck it will be dry by the time they arrive tomorrow. I have had enough though.

soop Mon 20-Feb-17 14:20:45

Charleygirl Keep smiling! grin

corner I am so pleased that you listened to your weekend medical assistance and got an appointment. It sounded to me as though you needed some help with antibiotics. I also feel if you had left it much longer you would have been admiring the walls inside a hospital.

The day I go out for coffee is the day that the workmen are out sourcing stuff or more likely starting another job. We cannot match up the doors so I am having to buy a brand new kitchen- joy of joys- I was not aware that moneybags lived here. I have chosen one and it is beautiful, matt white. The corners are rounded which really makes it stand out. The first one I saw naturally was rather expensive at £25,000! I do have good but expensive taste but the purse does not match the taste.

I was expecting a parcel from Amazon and naturally it arrived when I was out and was dumped in my brown bin. It is heavy, wedged into the flipping bin so I cannot move the thing. I may try and tip the bin over gently. It is a halogen oven so I cannot be too rough.

Jud that is really good news re Georgie. I know that incontinence is not pleasant outside but it is better than indoors.

soop Mon 20-Feb-17 13:36:46

Jud I am absolutely thrilled to bits with the latest news on Georgie. What a wonderful moment. Had I been with you, I most certainly would have shed a tear of relief and joy and thankfulness. Lovely! I can well imagine your elation. The flowers in your garden have bloomed at just the right moment. I need cake. I wish to celebrate. Yay! grin

Judthepud2 Mon 20-Feb-17 13:00:27

It's spring in my garden! Feeling upbeat for the first time for a month. smile

Judthepud2 Mon 20-Feb-17 12:51:24

I am posting a video. Don't know if it will work. It is of Georgie in the garden on her feet chasing her ball! I could weep for joy. No. Didn't work. Too compressed!

If you are on Instagram, it is there on my gallery. Same name as here.

soop Mon 20-Feb-17 12:36:50

grannysyb Thank you for jogging my memory. The washing machine needs emptying. Isn't life exciting! wink

grannyqueenie Mon 20-Feb-17 12:36:19

Washing on the line, gardening? Nothing like that going here, grey skies and rain in mj neck of the woods. I got the bus into town this morning then got soaked walking back, daft I should have done it the other way round. Hmm have just remembered I've promised to walk with a friend and her dog this afternoon, maybe not such s good idea after all!
I hope those antibiotics sort out your bug cg, it sounds like you've been unwell for ages, it's just horrible feeling poorly for that long flowers
There's so much going on in this kitchen I just can't keep up with everyone. Soop your painting of those dogs is just lovely, you're very talented, I wish I was.
It's good to hear that Georgie is improving but what a big job for you Jud
I'm mulling over the outcome of my gynae appt last week, still a bit taken aback about all that doc says needs done and trying hard to do my pelvic floor excercises, not so easy as the said floor dies not seem to be fit for purpose sad

soop Mon 20-Feb-17 12:35:09

A cheery good afternoon to our lovely "seed-sowers) and poorly peoples.

corner What did us lot say...haste ye to the GP and let him decide whether or not you need lots of TLC and, it seems, medication to help you combat the bugs that have become a right buggeration. Stay in bed until you begin to feel much improved. flowers

Elegran I do miss Wobblybits. If anyone knows how to contact him, will you please remind us that his chair in the kitchen has been reserved for his return.

I took a photo of the dog and cat portrait without using flash. It is a much better likeness. Both animals are named, Cooper. They belong to a friend of a friend.

Nelliemoser Mon 20-Feb-17 11:43:15

I have been seed sowing as well. I noticed my second batch of seedlings coming through yesterday. On the window ledge in DDs old room.
The seeds I saved from last year are incredibly tiny and there are 1000s of them. The ones dropped from the existing plant outside will probably grow as well.
I am stupidly excited about this. I just need to make sure I don't kill them off.
Could we have a gardening icon?

grannysyb Mon 20-Feb-17 10:47:28

Beautiful day here, one lot of washing on line, second in machine!

NonnaW Mon 20-Feb-17 09:53:32

Soop, lovely painting. The dog looks very much like my Travis!

Just a thought, might Wobblybits be having his hip replacement?

cornergran Mon 20-Feb-17 09:51:01

Well, I listened to charley's instructions advice and managed to get a cancellation appointment this morning. Grumpy doctor but thorough. Apparently I have a fever, if I had a thermometer I may have know that blush. He said in his view a serial virus, so as I haven't recovered from one it makes me vulnerable to the next one. Sort of see what he means. I have antibiotics as he feels sure there is also infection. Have to go for a chest x-ray when I can summon the energy. Hopefully I will feel much less wretched soon. Plan to go back to bed after the x-ray and with luck get some sleep. Will moan no more

charley, you are a brave woman, you deserve that coffee out, do you allow yourself cake? It will all be worth it and you can enjoy your renovated home. Hope the kitchen cupboard door issue is sorted.

Elegran Mon 20-Feb-17 09:33:12

Looks like WB has chosen not to receive PM's. I hope he is OK.

Charleygirl Mon 20-Feb-17 09:20:54

I cannot believe how mild it is today, I was walking around indoors with no cardigan or jumper on- unheard of in February.

I am waiting for the builders then I am meeting a GN for coffee- I will be glad to get out of the house. Nice as they are, I have had enough and it starts again tomorrow with the re-wiring. I think in 3 weeks time I will be entitled to a glass or 3 of wine and a decent home cooked meal.

Izabella I sowed radish seeds with my grandson, last weekend, in a gutter which is sheltering in the porch, and they have germinated already. So being an optimist I have planted two yoghurt pots with tomato seeds to see what happens, only problem is the light levels they can become straggly planting this early.

Greyduster Sun 19-Feb-17 22:00:24

Hi folks, just looked in to say a late hello - been out most of the day and brought GS back for an overnight stay, so we have been watching Harry Potter - again!

Izabella the exhibition at Chatsworth is the Peak District Artisans exhibition - only small but some good pieces on display. It is on until the 17th March in a room just off th Stables. The artist I was referring to is called Giles Davis and you can see more of his work on his website.

soop I loved your picture - I can't draw animals at all, although I did manage a passable badger once!

Catch up with you all tommorrow if I am not chasing around after His Little Lordship!

Bellanonna Sun 19-Feb-17 18:36:34

Yes jud I was wondering about wobbly too. I do miss him. Maybe we could mention The Kitchen to BB and get hem to take a look, see if he'd like to pop in?

Izabella Sun 19-Feb-17 18:24:53

soop. What a fantastic picture. You are so talented.

The hens laying pattern is changing to Spring mode. OH is his usual accepting self as EVERY window bottom becomes a haven for propagators of various shapes and sizes. HE never even murmured when a beer glass was pressed into service to house Rosemary (she's here again) cuttings and lavender cuttings. Still debating about the tomatoes.

Well all encompassing good wishes to the assorted maladies, and sympathy where needed. ? For all. Time for dinner now and a new day tomorrow. Night night moon

soop Sun 19-Feb-17 17:50:49

Charleyg our animals are members of the family. It would be difficult to imagine home without them. Aren't we lucky. grin

Goodnight to all our lovely Granspals. Those of you who are feeling under the weather, please try to relax and not over exert yourselves. smile moon

Charleygirl Sun 19-Feb-17 17:43:29

soop I love the way that Rory is never far from MacSporran. He really appreciates the lovely home he was with the pair of you.
