yabbadabadooooo!

Those growls must've worked, callgirl!

TriciaF Fri 12-May-17 15:13:45

What a relief, Soop grin We've had the same problem at times.
I've been following, though not commenting.

Hallelujah! Ta da and let joy be unconfined. Hello to YOU LOVELY LOT especially bags.

Have just returned from Campbeltown (left MacS here in case anything new came through re connection saga) and a nice young man from Openreach followed me into the house. He said..."You have been reconnected" and I almost hugged him senseless.

Please be patient with me. I've well over 200 emails to sort through. I just couldn't wait a moment longer to blast into our kitchen and find my way through the merry throng. So much catch-up to do. Goodness gracious me...I feel as if I've been blasted into space without the means to return. I'm sooooooooooooooo happy. I shall return before the end of the afternoon. grin grin grin

That really is appalling- by the 18th of this month us lot may well have moved on to pastures new and it may be difficult to find us but nod doubt soop will persevere. She definitely should get compensation.

wot the sooner you are rid of that so and so the better. Please do not help him except by assisting his last move out the door by a kick up the rear.

Alexa will enjoy her holiday, I think she has been overworked and also is entitled to compensation.

It is a lovely idea taking a puppy to a vet for cuddles etc. Tara my cat hates cars and vans and will not get in one voluntarily because they all go to a vet!

callgirl1 Fri 12-May-17 11:08:18

Still growling, but my teeth can`t stand much more gnashing. Soop should surely be entitled to massive compensation!

thatbags Fri 12-May-17 10:49:28

Soop update
Internet connection might be back on 18th May!!!! ???????
soop tells me she's swearing like blazes. I don't blame her. 'Bad' language is known to be a good stress reliever when the going gets rough and soop'll need all the stress relief she can get to make to the 18th. I wonder if she'll be able to log on somewhere in Campbeltown when they do their weekly shop? I'll suggest that to her. I think she should demand compensation from BT as well.

Louder growling, please, GN-ers!

kittylester Fri 12-May-17 10:11:21

Goodness me!! Or words to that effect. Fancy dogs having parties! DD3 is having enough trouble fitting in all the children's parties - think I'd better warn her before she gets the puppy they are thinking about buying!shock

I'm sure soop must be really frustrated by now. I get cross that we have no phone signal in the house never mind nothing at all.

Have a super holiday Galen. sunshine

I agree with Ann, wot, the sooner it DOES happen the better so you can get on with the rest of your life.

The poor little boy with the toilet issue made me really sad. Sometimes these things are related to issues at home (Bertie sometimes has a problem when the Idiot is playing up) so I hope someone is looking into it for him. Love the photo N&G, hope the survey went well.

I hope your bugs take a holiday corner and I'm hoping Maw's day out with paw, isn't too bad. Will they investigate the food issues, I wonder?

Good job they don't sell those at our Co-op bags - I'd never be able to resist. grin

DH is out doing his volunteer driving for the first time which means he has swapped this (not so) little old lady for another little old lady. grin

Well, my friend cancelled an outing as dog ( Westie ) was having a 'Spa Day '
angry

annodomini Fri 12-May-17 09:43:48

Next thing is that puppies will be having play dates. Or am I behind the times? I bet such things are already happening across the Atlantic!

annsixty Fri 12-May-17 09:24:31

Cheer up wot as we used to say it may never happen but in your case I think we all hope it will and quickly and then you can get on with your life.
I was intrigued when you mentioned the puppy party and then my D rang and said her new puppy Stevie had been invited to one at her vet practice,
It is a way of getting puppies of the same age together to socialise and get to know other puppies!! I don't think I made such a fuss over my own C as is made over that dog.
Any way he loved it, he made a new friend called Jessie and is going again next week,
Honestly!!!
The vet has advised my D to call in the surgery once a month to have him weighed and be made a fuss of ie given a treat so that he doesn't associate going to the vet with injections and illness.

Good morning all !

Sorry to hear life is getting you down at the moment wot ! Hopefully things will start to improve soon x But never worry about coming here to tell us how things are going , that's what its all about.

The picture of the baby in the basket maw made my day . How funny!!

I totally agree Corner if I don't get the service I expect I often write to the big cheese. Its amazing how quickly things move !!

We have young Jackson after school today and he is staying for dinner. Like a lot of 5 year olds he has a limited number of favourite meals but has surprised us by asking for fish goujons for dinner. Turns out someone told him fish makes you clever !! Clever Mummy!!

He will be very excited as we have new Lego with policeman Lego people , complete with handcuffs and a new Lego burglar with stripy sweater and swag bag ! His Uncle Ben will be dropping off a car seat later and he is a policemen so I expect he will have to come and admire our new police station and jail!

Then there will be a short period where our neighbours will think we have been arrested as Jackson is allowed to switch on the 'blues and 2's' for a minute before Uncle Ben leaves !

Thought I would leave you with a picture that popped up on my Facebook from 8 years ago... its our granddaughter ....brings a whole new meaning to face painting !!

callgirl1 Fri 12-May-17 00:24:46

Seagulls may be a menace, but what handsome birds, so arrogant though.
Have a good holiday Galen.

Jalima1108 Thu 11-May-17 23:11:14

Hope you have a lovely time Galen and find some sunshine

Jalima1108 Thu 11-May-17 23:10:39

I quite admire seagulls...naughty but beautiful!
shock
they're menaces!!!

But I will forgive you wot, you obviously have a kind and generous heart smile

Charleygirl Thu 11-May-17 22:24:14

Have a lovely holiday Galen.

N&G my heart goes out to little Cooper- hopefully the rest of the class will have forgotten about it by Monday. That is a good idea somebody suggested that he takes a change of clothing "just in case".

I was out all day yesterday which rarely happens and Tara came home before me. She must have wondered what was happening, anyway when I came home she had been to bed and came racing downstairs to say hello but not for long, back to bed for a few more hours shut eye. Her mummy is always at home for her. I dread to think what will happen when she goes to a cattery so that I can have my knee replacement. It did not go well 5 years ago.

Galen Thu 11-May-17 22:01:07

Night all!

cornergran Thu 11-May-17 21:47:01

Still grumbling, nose like Rudolph's and a throat like a cheese grater. Goodness, wot, your issues are not boring or trivial, on the other hand a cold hmm. Sounds as if the removal will happen, hang on in there.

Love the picture bags, so sorry soop remains without internet. Beyond frustration by now I would think. When we had BT non-service issues (2 weeks without service) a signed for letter addressed to the Chairman's Office at the registered office address (not customer dis service) got it fixed within 24 hours. The Chairman apparently has a hit squad. Worth a try if tomorrow doesn't see a resolution.

Maybe just let alexa have a holiday too galen, all will then be forgiven, from both sides grin. Bon voyage for tomorrow.

Oh, n&g, that poor little boy. Jackson sounds both caring and very, very sensible smile.

Please all stop talking about gardening. I have vouchers to spend, pots to fill and neither time nor energy to go plant shopping. Another reason to grump. As is my loss of appetite. I like my food sad. Grumble, grumble, grumble. I shouldn't though, poor pawb, at least my food, err, stays where it should. Shame about your lunch mawb, hope there's a treat for you both on the horizon soon.

I'm grumbling off to bed now. Take care of yourselves everyone. Hope for a re-connected soop tomorrow.

Alexa has gone off in huff

Greyduster Thu 11-May-17 20:07:21

Just saw the picture bags! How do you get that one past the scanner then? Bless him/her!

Crafting Thu 11-May-17 20:07:07

wot no one is 'bored' by others problems in the kitchen. It's what we are here for. To lean on each other when times are difficult and to support others at their time of need ? ( mind you I am still trying to find out where the hummingbird fits in confused). I think you must be a very kind person to worry about your partner when he is leaving you. You deserve better I think.

Galen I liked Alexa's jokes. A little light relief to look forward too.

N&G poor little lad. It must be a really difficult thing for him to cope with. Paw too. I have the odd problem too. Can usually cope ok but get a bit worried at times that I won't make it home blush

Greyduster Thu 11-May-17 20:05:34

wot no one is bored by your problems, trivial or otherwise. If it were not for our school run commitments I would high me down to Norfolk tout suite and look after your doggie. We all need a change of environment now and then.
bags give soop our very best and tell her to give BT hell. They are not fulfilling their service commitment on any level it seems to me!
Well, they say the road to hell is paved with good intentions and our good intention NOT to get involved playing mad games of football with two ten year olds lasted about five minutes. Thank goodness the ice cream man was in the park to provide a diversion or we would have been carted off in an ambulance! I haven't a bone that doesn't ache! What a pair of silly old duffers.

thatbags Thu 11-May-17 19:57:56

Meanwhile, when I was in the local diddy Co-op to pick up stuff for an archery contest in our garden that MrB arranged for Sunday before he told me about it ? and I'm out all day Saturday, so I need to make a large cake tomorrow....blah blah....
meanwhile, as I said, I saw this (dad in charge; I did ask if I could take a pic) in the Co-op ? ?
Baby was crying when dad put it in the basket but was quite happy being in there with all the stuff.
