Thrilled to dollrags to see you back Soop! Don`t go away again, will you? xxx

Charleygirl Fri 12-May-17 16:13:41

Thank goodness you have returned. As I said earlier I thought that we may have moved again and you would have had problems finding us lot.

We have behaved, little choice really. I have so missed Rory.

soop Fri 12-May-17 16:15:29

Now then...where do I start to catch-up? If I go right back to my visit of one week ago, I shall be here for the duration. I shall take an overall look and hope not to miss anything really important. I've thought about you lot constantly. Anyone who believes for one minute that our forum is unimportant, is so wrong!

soop Fri 12-May-17 16:26:29

MawB Our bags told me about the recent sad loss of dear Grace. I felt your pain. It never ever gets easier to recover from the loss of a beloved animal. flowers

Galen Bon wotsit...and dare I add...^behave yourself^...have yourself a lovely bob around on the high seas.

callg I said hello to David as I drove by Muasdale. If you lot could have seen my attempt at parking in a what seemed a very cramped space (not) when I was in Campbeltown, you would have thought you were at a panto. It took me that long to park tidily, that I almost forget what I was in town for. wink

soop Fri 12-May-17 16:34:57

I'm so anxious to catch up...but I must confess that it's going to take an awful long time.

In the meantime, I've enjoyed looking at all the lovely photos.

I've a few to add of my own.

soop Fri 12-May-17 16:37:33

The male deer was just the other side of the fence when I took the photo.

The verges are carpeted with bluebells this year. The gunnera is growing in leaps and bounds. Thanks to a long spell of hot sunny weather.

Bellanonna Fri 12-May-17 16:37:54

Hello soop??

wot Fri 12-May-17 17:20:18

Welcome Home, Soop!?

soop Fri 12-May-17 17:35:52

A lovely scene greeted me when I looked through the window yesterday evening. I took the photo with Mr bags in mind.
Also, a pic of Rory, who is slowly recovering from having lots of strange engineers calling at his home.

soop Fri 12-May-17 17:37:41

I've had a lovely visit. Still so much to read and it will take some time to catch up. However, I'm back and I'm chuffed to bits. By the way...the house is spotless! grin

soop Fri 12-May-17 18:02:34

BT rang a few moments ago. They will continue to monitor us AND we're to get 18 months free broadband. Now, that is something to raise a wee dram to. Bye for now. I shall return tomorrow. smile moon

aggie Fri 12-May-17 18:42:23

Great to see you back Soop , and brilliant about the free broadband wink

Charleygirl Fri 12-May-17 19:22:30

I can see how upset Rory has been with all of the unwanted intrusion. Unwanted by him at least. He obviously is not happy!

That was the very least that BT could do for you!

Judthepud2 Fri 12-May-17 20:11:51

[peeping round the new kitchen door sheepishly] Hello all. Sorry I haven't been here for a while. Just taking a wee break from GN for a while for various reasons but hoping to get back now. MawB chased me up on Twitter and encouraged me to show my face again.

Trying to catch up with everyone but so many posts, I can't really comment on everyone's news. I have already commiserated with Maw about Grace. So hard to lose a pet. But I do want to say how sorry I am to hear about your situation, wot. You have been let down big time! Better off without someone like that angry

Our little Georgie is doing really well. In fine form and very mobile, although stiff first thing in morning and at night. The incontinence is still a problem but seeing slight positive changes. Vet says to watch how well her tail frees up which is an indicator of healing in that region. Milestone today - she has been signed off by the hospital. No more physio needed, just regular exercise.

oldgoat Fri 12-May-17 20:13:24

Hope the sun continues to shine in Kintyre soop because we are heading your way in a week's time.
Tomorrow we are leading a walk up in the Yorkshire Dales so imagine my delight to hear that we are promised rain most of the day - we haven't had a drop for weeks. Perhaps the forecast will be wrong. Keeping everything crossed.

oldgoat Fri 12-May-17 20:27:29

Lovely to hear from you again*jud*. I was just wondering about Georgie today when I was walking Oscar . I remember you wondering whether you would ever see her bouncing through the long grass. It sounds as though she is well on the way now.

MawBroon Fri 12-May-17 20:31:22

Just think of me lke Shep the sheep dog gran - rounding up stray lambs to bring them back to the fold!

cornergran Fri 12-May-17 20:35:19

Good to see you back soop, we've missed you and you too jud. Georgie is doing so well, another reason to celebrate. smile. The BT compensation isn't to be sneezed at, think they could have also sent alcohol and flowers grin.

Gagagran Fri 12-May-17 21:11:07

I'm another strayed lamb returning to the fold after a prolonged bout of ill-health. Been lurking though so am up to date with the goings-on. Still on the sick list but feeling more like resuming contact with my life.

So sorry to hear of Grace leaving you Maw - it's hard to let them go when they have wound their way into your heart.

Really chuffed for NandG's new house - been a long time coming but it obviously wasn't the right time before now. Much happiness there you two!

Hope your builders have now left you all done and dusted Charley. What a nightmare it must have been for you.

It's my bedtime but I'll be back - see you tomorrow! Nighty-night!

callgirl1 Fri 12-May-17 21:30:22

Brilliant news about the free broadband Soop, but it`s the least they could do really. Where was this awkward parking space? We always found Campbeltown very spacious regarding parking.
Nice to hear from you Jud, and pleased to hear that Georgie is coming along just fine.
Oldgoat, any chance of me stowing away in your car boot? I want to go back to Kintyre.
My holiday has been allocated to another party, who has also had to decline it, I wonder if anyone will take them up on it?

Tizliz Fri 12-May-17 23:19:45

Glad you are back with us soop, shame you can't send emergency parcels of broadband ?

grannyqueenie Fri 12-May-17 23:21:37

Welcome back soop, what a palaver you've had and how we all missed you! Glad to hear that Georgie is mending it's been a long haul for you Jud. You really do deserve a break wot after the recent goings on, good job it's anonymous on here or some of us grans might assist that man in moving out! Space in the boot for another one oldgoat ? Would love to go to Kintyre too!

callgirl1 Sat 13-May-17 00:23:34

Grannyqueenie, have you ever been to Kintyre? It grabs you and is reluctant to let you go again, lovely place.

grannyqueenie Sat 13-May-17 08:13:32

Yes, doesn't it callgirl! I went last year for the 1st time, despite originating from Scotland there are lots of parts I've never explored. So last year we went to Kintyre and also had a few days on Isla, what beautiful magical places we saw. I'm newish to the kitchen but from recent posts surmise that it was a very special place for you and your late husband too, having been there I can understand why. We have a spot in Wales, we've holidayed there as a family and a couple for over 40 years, when the time comes I'd like to think of us being there.

NanaandGrampy Sat 13-May-17 09:41:00

Good Morning all AND soop.

Welcome home !! You were much missed. Glad to see BT compensated you adequately. Isn't it funny how quickly we have become reliant on technology? I'd be lost with my internet .

Glad to have a Georgie update jud !Quite a miracle isn't she?

Thank you for your good wishes Gaga . Sorry to hear you have been unwell. Hopefully , on the mend now.

I'll take it Callgirl ....Grampy and I would go to the opening of a paper bag LOL

Grampy and I are girding our loins for a sleepover tonight with young Jackson and Cooper. Mummy and Daddy are off to a Eurovision party at friends . I have had instructions from the boys regarding dinner, snacks and movie of choice. Grampy- god love him- will be going out at 6:30pm to celebrate a friends 70th , so it will just be the boys and I ..... its going to be touch and go if I make it !

We also had Jackson for swimming and dinner last night ( making the most of it before our move !!) . I asked him if he thought Sammy was getting fat. He looked at him critically and said' No , its just the bones in his legs Nana' !! That's a relief then..I'm not fat either...its just the bones in my legs !!

Happy Saturday one and all !!
