You're invited to the Gransnet party

Only just realised that this party was happening. Prosecco, anyone? I have a courgette and lemon cake which isn't as disgusting as it sounds!

Chocolate Dinosaur Cake.
(as requested by DGS for his July birthday)

My favourite is not strictly a cake but is a ginger cheesecake. I have to make this every time any of the family visit. I decorate the top with pineapple pieces but younger son doesn't like pineapple and always scrapes it off his portion. So once I used chopped nuts instead and was hauled over the coals for changing it.

"But you don't like pineapple"

"I know, but it's not your ginger cheesecake without the pineapple!"

Did you say string quartet Cari - that wouldn't be the four 'ladies' who tried Wilmaknickersfit's concoction cocktail on the way in and are now flat out under the table clutching some odd shaped cases?

Brilliant party everyone, really entertaining.

Yay, Ann !

Spicy joke:
Did you hear about the man who overdosed on curry powder?
He went into a korma!
(Thanks unknown)

Hope everyone is enjoying this glorious day, with family & friends, or with smile-making thoughts of them.

Drinking tea at moment but eyeing up the Pimms......

Congratulations Ann
Well deserved.

Thank you all so much. I am overwhelmed by your very kind thoughts.
Isn't it a scorcher in the best traditions of the tabloids, but a wonderful day for our big get together.

Many congratulations Annsixty , very well deserved.

Oh yes. there's loads. I've found a couple of kebabs as well, to keep you going. And there's a few kulfi lollies for afters.

We've got home grown courgettes and mange tout. The chicken's in the oven.
Music and chatter in every neighbouring garden.
Cheers! ?

Please Maggie, I haven't eaten all day, it's so hot, but that sounds delish! Will there be enough for seconds?

I've got leftover saag paneer and daal and a pile of dried up chapatis if anybody's still hungry?

I'm popping in from our family Father's Day party up the road. Sorry about the noise - the kids are high on sunshine and adrenalin and the grown-ups on curry and beer.

Definitely Ann60 for the kindness prize.

I fell asleep due to and a glass of at lunch time. Is the party still on?

Cool...

OK, I have home made GLUTEN FREE chocolate eclairs, mini quiches, cheese scones and nice brown bread if anyone wants to make GF sandwiches. I AM showing off because I'm so chuffed with myself. Now, may I have a prosecco?

Good to see all political parties are having fun Pittcity. I have had an unexpected visit from my DD SiL and DGS who I don't see very often due to distance. Double celebrations!

I'll pop a strawberry in a nice cold one for you annemac

Just wondering if there's any prosecco left? Packing our cases for holidays on Wednesday and could do with a drink after all that ironing.

Saying Hi from a sunny break in Watchet.
Sitting chilling so apologies for any any sand in the sandwiches
Just tasted some lovely local ginger ice cream.

Wishing a nice day for Jo's family.
It will be bitter sweet.

flippin phone

Bit of everything music wise ??
I'm currently listening to Queen, I'll go turn itfin, how's that ?
The neighbours are on holiday so it's fine

Don't know Pittcity - Gangnam Style (obviously, bravo those gents), Spinnin'Around for Kevin Bacon (not content with a certain TV ad, poor lad's been doing it since LaraGNHQ put the party advert up- let him have a rest!)

Grab a DJ from somewhere or put Gold on the radio? I daresay we'll start singing later.

So this lorry full of tortoises collided with a van full of terrapins.....it was a turtle disaster!
(Thanks again TVine)
