Good morning all. Have been at DD's since yesterday and have just come home for a "comfort stop", in that although DD has a lovely house, I don't feel quite as comfortable in it as I do in my own, and I don't know where anything is! GS is not a lot of help - he doesn't know where anything is either! Plastic bags, dishwasher tablets, tea towels, and the keys to the back door, do not come high on his agenda. He was more focussed on searching out charging cables for his iPad, shin pads, things to eat that aren't good for him and making sure his newly detached tooth was placed where the tooth fairy (in this instance Grandad) could find it! I walked him to school this morning (non negotiable) - he walks with his friends, but, as is DD, I was "allowed" to follow at a respectable distance as long as I did not make it seem as if I was actually "with him"
. Fortunately one of the other mums was walking down, so we maintained a respectable distance together - she knows the rules too - turning back when they had all crossed the main road. We should have a 'big sigh' emoticon!
They grow up too quickly, as you are now witnessing, Maw! There is no holding the wee man now he's found his feet (surprisingly quickly too by the look of it!). Glad to hear Paw is making some progress.
I am going to put my feet up now with another cup of coffee until it is time to sally forth once more.
