She does not really enjoy being left during the day (rarely more than 2-3hours, I feel bad about it so I do try) but doesn't make a huge fuss, and is quiet when I get back. Nights are fine, with the occasional let out (last night it was at 4) I respond as it is brilliant that she is House trained but suspect she may not actually NEED it however daren't call her bluff!
She is a sweet natured dog in every respect!

MPW is my ex DiL's b'day present to me. Just waiting for the taxi now.

MawB has Hattie settled in now and I do hope that room and waitress service are up to scratch. One would not want standards to slip!

A day away is a tonic in itself - a night when you don't need to be listening out, when there is only you. But how I wish your C would see that a regular commitment on their part even only a night per month each would give you a chance to get your breath back

My Son does know what hard work his father is, he is not able to deal with it. He just thinks it's a fact of life and I should just accept and get on with it.
Neither of my C realise just how old I am as I have always been a coper and got on with life and they think I will always be able to do so. A compliment in a way but I might like a bit of TLC at times.

Just popped in for a quick peek, can't read all through today's posts now but I can't go without adding my congratulations to you Ann it's an achievement indeed for you both. So much you've experienced through the ups and downs of all those years. You'll feel sad your dh can't recall it now but I hope you can enjoy remembering the happiness you shared together albeit with tears in your eyes.

Maybe your DS will realise what you have to put up with 52 weeks of the year and to date you have kept your sanity- I would have been admitted somewhere and it would be a toss up between a psychiatric unit or a prison! I know which one!

Thank you people. Daughter 2 said it was completely wrong, that I should have pale grey, and my sister said I should have white or grey. I originally picked a pale lemon, but it was too pale on the wall, this colour is called Happy Yellow, it lives up to it`s name, because it`s nice and cheerful.

I like it callgirl especially with the black and white.

We have a black and white ensuite and I think that yellow towels etc could look rather nice (but I have been banned from buying more towels).

I'm another one with yellow kitchen/diner walls. Actually called itself Farrow&Ball Cream, but it's a golden yellow and I find it sunny but restful and it goes with everything.

My kitchen walls are green- I like the colour- I do not really care what others think!

I like your kitchen including the wall colour.

We had a tongue a groove wall in our last house stained that colour and everyone remarked on how cheerful it was.

We painted the kitchen in the first house we had that was not an Army quarter the same colour as that, callgirl. It's a colour to cheer you up! We had a new kitchen put in here just over two years and we still haven't really decided what colour to paint the walls. We just left them white - for now! We were talking about it the other day, oddly enough, as they could do with another coat of something!

If he cant jump up . What about a ramp. Sloping piece of wood, perhaps carpet on top to allow himself to walk up.

Or a similar bit of wood with ramen to replicate a ladder, again angle dependant.

Rory won't be leaving his cat cave for any reason other than to enjoy a treat...because, as MacS tells him throughout the day - you're a verrrrrry good boy. Last night he slept on a cushion close to MacS who sleeps in a reclining chair (he has bad cramps if he lies down). About a week ago, Rory could manage to climb on a low stool and then onto MacS's lap. He can't do that now. His back legs buckle. He likes being as close as poss to MacS and he purrs with pleasure. Rory...not MacS
