I'm with you Ann and Maw , let common sense prevail in regard to photos of children. My daughters don't mind, the kids love to see pictures of themselves and usually laugh when older ones appear and they see how they've changed .

As we all get to live further and further apart social media and email become what letters had been in the past - a way to keep families in touch.

I posted on a thread yesterday about sharing photographs on social media including GN.
While I wouldn't go against parents wishes ,I was the only poster who seemed to think this was overthought. We would have been denied some wonderful photographs of delightful children on this thread.
The ones yesterday and the new baby today being my case.

Fully recovered from our sleepover with Jackson. He is growing up so fast . For the first time he declined a favourite programme on the TV saying - no that's really for babies Nana !

I love technology !! I've ordered the campers a new fridge ( early birthday present!!) and it will be delivered to their tent on Tuesday! Now that's what I call service. Until then , kind fellow campers have all offered a little fridge space as has the shop. Nice people.

Flynn is growing fast Maw , what a delight he looks. We got our first photo of our young friends baby - Finley. I've added it so you can all have an awww moment . I am rushing to finish his baby blanket for our first visit tomorrow .

Well , I am off for a lazy day except for some crotchet and crafting. Grampy has a skip to fill and Sam has some car practice time coming his way !!( Not driving - sitting quietly!)

Sam has quite a few tricks but he had a miserable fail yesterday. I could hear Cooper saying' Paw Sammy' as I came into the lounge but had to laugh when I realised Cooper was expecting a back leg paw ! Sam had a resigned look on his face as if to say ' Darn kids' !!

I bought some new slippers in town today, size 6, brought them home, cut off all labels and threw all the bits, including the receipt, into the bin. Put them on, they felt a bit (?) big, looked again, I`d read the size upside down! My daughter says take them back anyway, but I won`t, they were only cheap, I`ll just get another pair next week. Anyone in need of a pair of size 9 slippers, hardly used?
I also put on a new kaftan I had delivered the other day, my first ever. I ordered a size bigger than normal, to be sure that it was a loose fit, but walking in town I felt like a bag of spuds in it, then a nice lady said to me "You do look nice in your pink." Cheered me up no end.

Hello everybody. Just popping in for a quick visit. Life has been very hectic lately what with holidays and Gransnet meetups. We have the GSs for a few days this week. We've hardly seen them this school holiday so I'm really looking forward to spending some time with them. Younger GS is 10 tomorrow so we are off to his birthday tea. We are giving him a voucher for Go Ape in Dalby Forest. You have to be 10 and 140cm tall before you can swing through the tree tops. He's a bit of a daredevil so I think he will really enjoy the experience. Not sure whether I want to go and watch, though.
That looked to be a very tall tree that grannyqueenie's GD was climbing!

Are your GD's in-laws staying at the campsite at Muasdale soop ? We visited the Glen Scotia distillery in Campbeltown and OH has a bottle stashed away in the cupboard for special occasions.
Hope they find a house in York. They seem to be selling very quickly at the moment.

I am so pleased that Hattie is really settling in to her new abode, she deserves a lovely home.

I also am not a fan of monsoon weather so she is not alone.

I gave myself an early birthday present and that is one reason why the electrician was here- he was setting up my Amazon Echo and as he was here, I asked him to sort out my new tablet. Maybe Christmas crept in and I did not notice.

Queenie that young tomboy (girl) is a very good climber.

A pity that Tara will not allow me a lie in to play with my toys in the comfort of my bed.

cornergran I think that our neighbours may regard us as the 'elderly couple who have lived there since the year dot'.

The wind is whipping up the waves. I wouldn't care about the rain as long as I could see the waves - fat chance where we live now.

cornergran I'm happy to let anyone bask in the reflected glory of our littlest's climbing I couldn't do it either, I think she got these little legs from her granny, it was hard enough watching it and wishing her to the top!!

Your poor daughter n&g not the best start for a holiday. Hope things get better for them all. Some of ours are camping in the Dales this coming week, if all else fails they may end up relocating to us!

We do have a lovely neighbour and I am very appreciative of her, she is the one who was widowed in May and took me on a sleepover in Harrogate, she is a brilliant friend.
I so enjoyed my G&T but sadly my H is losing it by the week.
No aggro, just not relating to life which is dispiriting, depressing and irritating to me in equal measure.
