Good Morning Everyone,
Its grey but dry here in Brackley at the present moment, rain later ?

NfkDumpling Wed 30-Aug-17 06:58:27

Morning Mick, morning All

Grey and overcast here in Norfolk, and no sign of the overnight showers forecast yesterday. Perhaps it'll come later.

I woke up at a quarter to silly o'clock this morning, so I'm ready for bed now! I've got a volunteering stint this afternoon and am out this evening so I think I'll try for a bit more shut eye. Night, night!

Morning Mick, morning all!

It's pouring in North Leicestershire! Today I have to put the defrosted freezer back together, a mountain of ironing, an Alzheimer's Course and a volunteer meeting. I'm exhausted just thinking about it!

I hope you all have a good day.

Good morning everybody.

After a murky day here yesterday it has rained overnight so although cloudy not so grim. Woke at about 6 and it was horribly dark....How amazing the weekend was so good, and a bank holiday. Surely that's unprecedented! Out for a meal tonight but nothing very exciting today planned and the washing can wait until tomorrow. I'm settling into retirement now 😀

Good morning. It's grey in Lancashire, I have 2 Dgds for the day and I was hoping to take them to the park. Might go to the museum instead.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning. Very slightly fresher. Last nights promised thunderstorm didn't happen, but a few fat raindrops tried their best to bring relief to the heat.

MawBroon Wed 30-Aug-17 07:58:28

Good morning everybody. It is definitely cooler here in N Bucks but I am feeling amazingly refreshed as I have had nearly 8 hours uninterrupted sleep for the first time in months smile
Good dog Hattie for not needing to go out and good "brain " for not waking me up in the wee small hours!

Tippy22 Wed 30-Aug-17 08:11:03

What a difference a day makes. Sunburnt yesterday, soaked this morning. The joys of a British summer. Enjoy your day everyone.

harrigran Wed 30-Aug-17 08:12:28

Good morning, overcast and grey again.
Was woken by the door bell just before 00.30 but didn't open the door, looked on CCTV monitor and watched to see where he went. There must have been some criminal activity in the street because five minutes later the police were there escorting people away.

Gagagran Wed 30-Aug-17 08:14:35

Morning all!

It is threatening rain here on the south coast but so far the clouds have not let it fall. It feels much cooler after the 26 degrees we had yesterday and there is a good breeze.

Nothing planned today so we'll see what turns up.

Happy days to all GNs sunshine

Good Morning everyone,

Another dull drizzly day here, but after such a lovely weekend it was to be expected smile.

Took Mum to daughters yesterday to see their new puppy. Granddaughters are over the moon to have him!

Today will be sorting out paperwork, gym and ironing! I am really enjoying being retired (3 months now), slowly getting into it and making the most of my freedom!

Have a good day everyone.

harrigran horrible way to be woken. With us it's usually the dog barking at foxes in the small hours but there's a fair bit of burglary goes on around where we are, so I'm ever cautious.

kittylester Wed 30-Aug-17 08:31:13

Coo, Harri, exciting and scary! shock Hope you got back to sleep.

TerriBull Wed 30-Aug-17 08:33:15

Good morning from the south east. Cloudy today and 10 degrees cooler. I won't complain we had a fantastic long week-end with friends who came to stay, the weather was fantastic, such a bonus. I'm off to the gym later to try and work off some of the calories consumed over the past few days.

Mapleleaf Wed 30-Aug-17 08:34:07

Good morning everyone,
A grey, dull start to the day here in South Yorks. It feels cooler this morning. It's forecast to remain dry, but it doesn't look very likely at the moment.
Whatever the weather, enjoy your day. 😄

Good morning all

Good morning from rainy Colchester. The weather broke here yesterday afternoon after it got extremely hot and humid. It's been raining off and on since then.
Into town for ladies coffee morning today. The group has got so popular we are meeting on Thursdays too from now on.

Greyduster Wed 30-Aug-17 08:48:51

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The plasterer was supposed to be here today to do the bathroom ceiling, but has had to cry off and is not now coming until Friday - we hope. It drags on. Have a good day, folks.

Smithy Wed 30-Aug-17 09:01:10

Good morning from a bright but cool north east. It was really grey and very cool all day yesterday hope today is better.
I hate it when that happens Greyduster, you just want the job done so you can move on to the next stage. Hope all have as good a day as possible.

TwiceAsNice Wed 30-Aug-17 09:11:26

Good morning everyone. It's cloudy and much cooler here in the South East this morning. We got back from holidays late Monday night, too hot to sleep properly and spent yesterday unpacking etc in hot sunshine, never the best although usually love the sunny weather. DD2 has friends and us for barbecue tonight and we are all going to local farm for picnic tomorrow so hope it picks up again. I will be cooking pasties and Victoria sponge later as my contribution to the picnic.

Good morning from Cumbria! The sun is trying to get through and it is quite pleasant at the moment. I have already had a potter in the garden and am off to do some crafting - a memory cushion from my Dad's shirts for my Dd. This is only my second Wednesday (except for holidays) in four years that I don't have my DGD for the day as she is about to start school. I've had her since she was 10 weeks old - it's taking some getting used to!

Sar53 Wed 30-Aug-17 09:22:11

Good morning all. Very cloudy and grey here in Essex by the sea. I have been awake since about 5.30, things on my mind.
Ironing done and now waiting in for an Amazon delivery, new books !!
Hope everyone has a restful day.
