1)The marvellous baker in our village, who closed last year because of soaring energy costs
2) Our local turkey breeder, whose rented land has been reclaimed by the owner for house building,
3)Our local farmer/butcher who is closing the farm shop next week for lack of staff and illness.

Collard and Bowser - delicious and beautifully packaged treats - liquorice toffee, fudge and nougat.

Newer versions leave a lot to be desired, sadly.

Just looked up Bran Buds, used to like those, and found them £71.00 from America and shipped to UK! If you know someone that's going to Canada or USA they could bring some back.

Our local baker. He made lovely artisan bread, but he closed in Covid and never re-opened. So sad.

Used to love Cremola, think it might have been semolina but yellow. Eating Thortons toffee, bought by loose weight, when I wasn’t worried about fillings, if I ate it now it would probably pull all my teeth out. Flying Saucers were a favourite too.

Apples eg: Cox’s which have NOT been stored and are still really crispy. In fact apples and pears, but doubt they will ever come back

Couldn't agree more. How my sisters and I loved those Callard & Bowser nougats in their silver paper wrapper. Nothing like them ever since.
